Janice Borla Vocal Jazz Camp Age 13-adult welcome. The camp’s international reputation draws students from all parts of the U.S. and Canada, Europe and Asia. Financial aid available.

Vocal faculty: Janice Borla, Madeline Eastman, Kate McGarry

6-day intensive workshop for the solo vocalist; focus on jazz concept, style and improvisatory skills; outstanding artist faculty. Vocal jazz techniques, styles and repertoire, improvisation, master classes, vocal jazz history and music theory; nightly faculty concerts; final concert of all participants with the Staff Rhythm Section.

Participants typically range from high school and college students to adult professional vocalists and jazz educators. This year’s Staff Artists: Janice Borla, Madeline Eastman, Kate McGarry (vocalists); Art Davis (trumpet), Brad Stirtz (vibraphone), Dan Haerle (piano), Bob Bowman (bass) and Jack Mouse (drums).
