The County of Ventura’s Assessor’s Office has sent out by mail approximately 250,000 assessed value notices to taxpayers of Ventura County. These notices inform owners of their property’s assessed value as of January 1, 2024. Of the notices that have been sent out, approximately 200,000 postcard notices show the 2% increase in value due to Proposition 13. Another 7,700 notices will notify the owner that the property’s Market Value is less than the Prop 13 (Base Year) Value....

On Friday, July 19, 2024, between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m., the Oxnard Police Department held a DUI/Driver’s License checkpoint at Oxnard Boulevard and Deodar Avenue, as well as a simultaneous city-wide DUI saturation.
