State Representative Richard White and State Senator Steve West hosted a public forum this evening at the Carl Perkins Center to discuss the residents' concerns about progress on Cranston Road/Hwy. 377. They invited House Transportation Chair Ken Upchurch and House Majority Caucus Leader Rep. Jason Nemes to attend the event, and they answered residents' questions and frustrations regarding current and future state funding for the project. Rep. Upchurch assured everyone that funding is guaranteed once the Transporation Cabinet completes utility relocation and right of way acquisitions. Details in next Thursday's Rowan County News.
