Even after you subtract GM, VW and Tesla from the gains made by the rest of the automakers in EV sales, it's a net increase of roughly 6,300, year over year for Q1. A friend posted that those of us alive today must have wanted to see the fall of the biggest empire in human history, which is why we incarnated to be alive now.

There are eight billion people alive today. That's about 7% of the total number of people ever born. If everyone alive today was a reincarnation of someone who lived before, the oldest souls would only go back about 500 years, unless they were just benchwarming for who knows how long.

Even then, I often feel like this aspect of reincarnation is used to victim-blame. "You must have wanted to be born into this dystopian society" lines right up with "well, you're poor because you wanted to learn a lesson".
