Looking to recreate something real-time in hardware with a similar aesthetic to the offline generative composition and video generation code output posted earlier. Early experiments. Is it working?

Generative composition and video platform we've been working on ~1yr on/off. What to do with hundreds of these?

This example is from an early prototype that uses data science toolkits to transform and recompose a directory of stems and create matching audio-reactive animations.

The idea was: could the essence of a single studio session, track, or album be captured and transformed into a hundred, or even a thousand tracks that would be unique but coherent as a whole. Could a complimentary visualization also be generated that matched the tone.

It doesn't really fit an album or live performance mold. Needs a lot more work, but early outputs seem promising. Compelling? Want to see more?

Third run on the mini-modular. This round: Xynthesizer's app in cellular automata sequencer mode into MIDI driving several modules, chiefly Basimilus and Melotus Versio for sound. I liked the uplifting vibe and how the lines were blurry between percussion, melody, and soundscape.

Working on a modular "daily" practice. Not every day, but start to finish in a single day. Per usual granular ASMR, vaguely dub inspired live looping session with a few rounds of overdubbing and live patch build up and teardown. Headphones recommended 🎧

First-round marbles into plaits for organ stabs and bass.

Second round grids and marbles into plaits and beads for drums, delay, and reverb. Learnings here were how to swing and slop the clock into grids via Marbles jitter and t2 out plus some fills off grids tweaked live.

Finally, loose interpretations of tape hiss and guitar via plaits particle noise and Karplus-Strong modes.

All generative sequences and synthesized sounds from this small mostly rig and captured in Bitbox Micro.

Inspired after the live modular show in San Jose and meeting a couple of the artists, submitted this track to their Darker Sounds of a Present Future sample pack competition.

Here's a clip w/ video projection tests. Sounds entirely from the sample pack processed with Beads for granular manipulation and sequenced with Digitakt. Heavy bass and stereo. Headphones recommended! 🎧
