It seems there’s never happy news anymore and children and vulnerable people are always victims to such heinous acts! Ughhhh now more than ever we need to stand vigilant, root ourselves in the word, and keep our faith strong more than ever during these dark times! I wish that my daughter didn’t have to grow up in such a scary unpredictable world full of evil and deceitful people, but I constantly pray that we are protected and I know that God protects, guides, and forgives always, ever since the beginning. 🙏🏼✝️🧿

Happy Thanksgiving!! 🦃🍁🍽 I remember a time where I would always be hungover on thanksgiving and having to wake up and start drinking to be okay I’m front of my family or at least I thought they couldn’t tell I was a mess! I am thankful for my recovery, for my family and friends and for a sober thanksgiving! 🙏🏼🦃🍁🍽❤️

I often think about how much trauma I have actually been through, throughout the years and there has been a lot! I have dealt with a lot of different situations through therapy but I’m not fully healed. I haven’t worked through every single thing! I don’t think that we fully heal from any type of trauma but we get better! We can learn from the hurt and the pain and the mistakes and take these wounds and rise above whatever it was that prevented us from the happiness! I now have all this wisdom and all these lessons that are worth speaking about, these experiences that can help others! I watch shows like girls locked up or whatever it is named and I think about how that could’ve of been me permanently if I didn’t change my ways! I have been locked up a few times but again those were wounds that got turned into wisdoms! I can teach my daughter the beautiful path on this journey called life and fill her with love and wisdom and show her that it doesn’t have to be so dark and scary! 💝🦋🙏🏼

So for me I always look at the whole staircase in front of me and wonder how I’m going to get to the top of it in a safe fast, and easy way right! Basically I like to think too far ahead of myself about everything and I stress myself out because I take away anything that has to do with the present moment, and it’s exhausting! This spoke to me! I always have to slow myself down and remember to take the small steps in front of me one foot in front of the other instead of worrying about what’s at the top, in the future, or what’s out of reach, instead of focusing on what’s happening in the moment! That gets exhausting so I just here reminding and remembering to stay in the present moments of each day! 🙏🏼💕🦋 Xoxo

The choice is ours every single waking moment whether we keep evolving or wether we stay the same and repeat the never ending cycle of well whatever the negative thing is in your life! For me it was the shame, quilt, fear, the pain, ect! It’s all about the energy that we put into these choices that we make day to day! I choose evolving even though it’s hard more days then some and the road is rough and it’s not always sunshine and rainbows! Be the butterfly. 🐛➡️🦋

“It comes from living in hell for the past 20 years. Sleeping in the same bed as the devil. It comes from getting out of that darkness and into the light. Like there’s no going back for me. I could pick up the drug again but in my mind there is no going back to that. I refuse to loose…. We think our addiction is a knock, our addictions teach us how to be successful. The devil wants us to chase things, money, men, women, cars, things that we chase will never satisfy us, God wants us to wait and be patient, and when you get it, hold on to it.”

What’s the underlying cause of our addictions? Soo many times mental health goes undetected and then becomes untreated which in time becomes the main cause behind the addictions that us addicts deal with… we have to make sure we are staying healthy mind, body, and soul! All three things go hand in hand to be able to be free of negativity free from addiction! Reach out if you need help! Put yourself and your recovery first it’s not selfish! 🙏🏼💕
