Some NDA stuff. But what a perfect time to talk about this little handy trick from the brilliant at .workbench
For bag drops on docu work, I can monitor from my follow car by getting my IFB antenna out of the car. That way I can flag if anything goes awry, or provide IFB to producers on the drive. Plus it's just cool to be able to achieve the range and hear my sound from my follow car on the road.
This is an antenna mount, with a magnet on the bottom which acts as the metal ground plane. I'm going bnc out from my T4 to sma into the mount, then BNC back again for the antenna.
Shout out to for the nice RF cables.

I was a part of a documentary titled My Love, seen on Netflix, that got a little IndieWire recognition! This was in 2020 with the Isham family in Williston, 5 minutes from my house at the time.

Food, sports, family, and the music of 1969: All were fundamental puzzle pieces in another stellar year of storytelling.

My new German compact mic arsenal was the perfect deployment in a large loud factory setting. Schoeps for the absolute win! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Once again the lav concealers handled any outfit with perfection for my Sanken Cos11's. Sorry signed NDA so no photos.
CMC1/MK41 on for lock off interviews.
MiniCMIT also on Cinela e-osix for verité and OTF's.
These both performed better than my Sanken CS3-e. The Sanken actually rose the noise floor and made the hums in the background more prominent. No issue on the Schoeps. I didn't try the MKH50 becasue I was so content with how the Schoeps were performing.

I switched sea animals after many love filled years with 🐋
So much room on the side pockets, and I'm in love with the antenna mounts, and all the cabling space underneath the mixer and RXs. Well done and !!!!!
Above all, I wanted to make it known that K-tek is proudly a California, USA company and offer some of the best customer service this industry has seen. And some of the best I've seen in any industry!!! Keep it up team!!!

Had a great studio shoot with and the whole crew. 🎥
Maiden voyage with the Betso Bowties! 👔 Was in close proximity so I did not stress test their range quite yet. 🔊

Had a great shoot this past weekend for a promotional video in VT!
Couple of firsts to report and some shout-outs!
💡 First time using , I know, I'm late to the game, but I love them! They do run hotter however.
🐞 First time using the
Beetle lav concealer! Was very impressed with how compact it was. Mounted right on a t shirt easily, and securely!
🧲 First time using the
magnetic boom holder! Love love love this thing. I just mount the boom right on the side of my when I need two hands, and check out the first photo with no hands! I impressed the whole crew with this.
🌬️ And finally another super shout-out to on the amazing fur outdoor invisible lav covers. I had two talent walking on the edge of Lake Champlain in VT. Wind was 14 mph and gusting hard. These little guys provided almost clean sound the entire scene mounted right behind the collar of a t-shirt and a women's shirt. No fancy hiding place just a lav cover on a shirt. Best wind protection for a lav I've ever used! Bravo.
📻 And here's my obligatory gush. Held it down yet again on range and crystal clear audio! Thanks to all you sound friends for making my job easier and best of all fun!

Sound mixing in this glorious state from sunup to sundown. Great to get my mask out for the first time onset! Sorry it's upside down!
Rocking daylight mode with 4 Lectro channels, Sennheiser 416, Ambient timecode, and Lectro IFB with R1a.
I will say super shout out to Lectro and . In this world I had to coach talent to "self-mic" which had it's own headaches. The bubblebees pads worked amazing, stick it and forget it. Very minimal clothing noise! And as always, flawless RF from Lectro. I barely had to troubleshoot!
Great to be rolling in the swing of things!
