Annnnnnddddd that is a wrap for my 2023 season! This year was absolutely amazing. Running any business is no joke. The planning, the travel, the loading, unloading, entertaining 200+ people for hours on end and the stress of being the integral piece to making your clients day their dream come true. With all that, the people I get to meet, the smiles, the laughter, the jigs, the compliments and recommendations that come out of these beautiful events makes it all worth it! Thank you to all of my clients this season, I couldn’t have made it to the end without all of the easy-going attitudes to work with every weekend! You make my job easy! That being said, next summer, I will only be booking a maximum of two weddings per month. If you’re thinking about booking, please reach out as soon as possible as the dates are already dwindling for 2024. I appreciate you all and look forward to next year! For now, I will be enjoying some much needed ME time 🥂❤️

The warm weather and sunshine has me very excited for this wedding season! I am officially booked out once again and will not be taking any more clients for 2023. As the New Year approaches, I’ve been reflecting a lot on the last year and how amazing it has been in every way. The people we’ve met and the support that we’ve had has been nothing short of incredible. I would like to announce a couple of new changes to the business that will be happening after the first of the year. First, I have chosen to raise my base price to $125/hr due to trying to remain cost competitive with everything that I offer, inflation, gas/travel costs, the work and time that goes into putting on an event. If you’ve already booked with me for next year, this will not apply to you. Another change that I have been thinking about is turning this business into a legitimate entity through an LLC with the name ”Dirt Road DJ.” I feel that this greatly reflects my brand, the clients, venues and areas we serve. Please let me know what you think of these changes. Any and all feedback is welcome!

Year One. I cannot even begin to reflect on what an experience it has been. From starting as a makeshift DJ for a family member with borrowed equipment to working tirelessly for clients to make their days special weekend after weekend. I won’t lie and say putting this together didn’t make me emotional. This has always been a dream of mine since I was little and thinking of all the amazing people we’ve met and places we’ve been in just one year makes me even more excited for all of the years to come. To all those who have booked our business for your event, helped pack or load gear and referred me to family and friends. THANK YOU! Couldn’t have made this dream come true without you all! 🤍✨🙏🏼

Today marks ONE YEAR from the start of our story. What a day we had yesterday up at Camp Grizzley in Idaho! From wind and crazy rain that postponed the ceremony to a beautiful sunset that matched a beauty of a couple. Guests providing and holding down a canopy for us just gave us more time to bond. We enjoyed every moment of madness from Mother Nature and couldn’t have asked for better people to celebrate newlyweds with! Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Pardue! Thank you soooo much for having us. Now on to another wedding today at the same venue we started at! Special moments to be continued this weekend! 🤍🎶🎤

We have had lots of inquiries the past few weeks asking for our availability for the remainder of this summer, fall and next year as well. I feel as though we should publically release our current event dates that are scheduled thus far.

Another note, we will not be able to schedule any events in May or June of next year due to “day job” work obligations where Taylor will be working a 6-12s schedule for roughly two months.

Below are the following dates that are NOT available at this time:

September 3rd — Idaho
September 4th — Idaho
September 10th — Colfax, WA
September 25th — Naches, WA
October 1st — Colfax, WA

One of the best parts of our job is traveling to beautiful venues. It was our second wedding at Ballard Meadows in Colbert, WA. According to the owner, Redman DJ Services is the only DJ that has been there more than once. As most of you know, we do not pay for marketing at all. Facebook and the word of mouth by our amazing clients is what has gotten us this far. Without you all, we wouldn’t be making our dreams turn into reality. Congratulations to Kenny and Cassie Heidt! Wow, breathtaking views and an amazing experience at Lindsay Creek Vineyards in Lewiston, Idaho this last weekend. Thank you so much to Bryant and Amberly for choosing us!

We cannot thank everyone enough for helping to make our first year of business successful. As for 2022, we have nearly reached our maximum bookings! Between working full-time jobs, being dog mamas and traveling on average about 2.5 hours to gigs, we are going to have to refuse any more bookings through October. It is incredibly special to do what we love for people and share these moments that will last a lifetime. Our wedding season has just begun, we can’t wait for more💕🙏🏼

Happy Saturday! We hope your new year is off to an amazing start. We are beyond grateful for each and every one of you and your support as we have taken on this new journey! As our business continues to grow, we would like to address a couple of things that we will be working towards this year.

As business owners, we have to put ourselves in line with the competitive market of this industry and cover our costs that pertain to all travel and expenses. It takes a lot of time, planning/preparation and money to run a business. We have to stay consistent. If you have already booked with us for this year and we have discussed your pricing, that will not change for your event. However, we will be writing contracts, making invoices and will be offering payment plans that work best for you.

All events in 2022 will require a deposit of $200 that will be deducted from your final cost and if canceled within a month, you will get a refund. This helps ensure that upon the cancelation of an event, we can either plan to book another event or we have been compensated for our work leading up to that point.

We will require a $50 consultation fee which will cover all meetings, planning and preparation (event timelines, scripts, playlist building, etc). We spend a lot of hours in between our day jobs working hard to make sure everything is perfect for your special day.

Lastly, to keep our business competitive and in order to make a profit, we have decided to raise our prices. We will now charge $100/hr including rehearsal (minus your $200 deposit). Again, if you had already booked with us when we had first started out, this will not pertain to you.

We are so excited for the future of our business and we could not have done it without all of your continuous support. We love what we do but we have to find a balance and keep our business consistent with our clients and the industry. Thank you all!
