Life has a way of showing you the true colors people often have hidden deep inside, but are they really hidden? It is important to always keep in mind the dynamics of each relationship you hold in your life. Understanding is a staple within all relationships. It is what gets us through our highs and lows, and each transition throughout life. As we get older, and life continues to press on, we often find ourselves changing. Some of us are left stagnant, while others realize the need and opportunity for growth. Part of relationships that is hard to grasp, is that sometimes they come to an end. At the end of the day, we all crave connection, but we have to be wise in the people we surround ourselves with.

Power, greed, racism, and sexism are the driving force behind numerous institutions within our country under the guise of serving and protecting the community. As a chronically ill person, I cannot sit idly by without taking the opportunity to call out our medical system. I don’t just mean the lack of access to it, but those within it who have largely forgotten their oaths. Too often the terms drug seeking, anxious, and psychosomatic get attached to cases involving women. It is unfortunate that doctors are generally dismissive, they often invalidate and exacerbate anxieties that they in turn blame your illnesses on.
