Our goal is to generate an authentic brand that can resonate in the hearts of your next customer. Navigating Chaos was started by Kristy Schlesselman following her transition to Arizona from South Dakota. Despite Navigating Chaos being a newly established company, Kristy has worked in the field of brand development and strategy as well as social media management for a few years. Her contributions to her former employers and organizations not only improved visibility and grew audiences, they also gave these companies digital integrity. Navigating Chaos was birthed in the mucky marshes of mental gymnastics that is, creating a brand. We work tirelessly to prioritize what is most important, isolate the messaging and tell a story that your customers would be proud to share. Kristy is an adoring wife and passionate mother always taking steps towards creating a better life for herself and her family. Due to the increased demand for flexibility in her schedule and the needs of her family, she made a professional pivot to build a brand of her own. Although the company is currently home to this single employee, Kristy recognizes the contribution her family provides while on her own entrepreneurial journey and will often refer to Navigating Chaos as a team with that in mind.

This part of our campaign was an example of how to take these tips and apply them to your business strategy. We were delighted to collaborate with on this post. This collaboration was so insightful and eye-opening, it not only allowed us to grow as creators but gave us valuable understanding to things we may not be well versed in.

Results are starting to come in with some interesting trends beginning to show! One thing is clear across all demographics, no matter what their shopping habits may be, the majority of respondents feel strongly that a digital presence is important for conducting business.

However, the type of online platform the businesses should use, based on customer feedback, varies depending on their age group. But we will share more on that later!

Why would a new business already need to rebrand?

Since the beginning, Navigating Chaos🌀 has been about transparency and authenticity. In light of that, I feel it is important to share a little bit about the journey of building a business and entrepreneurial-ship.

In the early design stages the focus was on why and how. "Why was I going to market" and "how would the 'why' be accomplished?" Along the way, once settled on a business name, a narrative of the nature of this business came together. However I never took the time to actually ask the next question, what does that narrative actually look like for my business?

Similar to the friend who shares all the best advice and yet can't seem to take it in as their own, our Brand & Marketing business was not looking in the mirror. Instead of curating a brand voice of our own and focusing on what makes this business unique, exceptional and a delight to partner with, we only considered what we thought others would respond to. Not very authentic.

But alas, we have found it! This new look is bold, it is edgy and most importantly, it resonates. We welcome you to the land of Chaos🌀 and look forward to being your guide! 🫡 ☯️

This month's Featured Business is Malicious Women Co.

Over a year ago, I came across this business while scrolling through TikTok. This past August, I was walking downtown Snohomish, WA when I unintentionally and literally stumbled upon this business a second time.

As a follower on social media, I was shocked to learn I had found the one and only and equally delighted with an opportunity to participate in making my purchase. You'll notice the candle I bought has been through it! In fact, it is finished. This is the fastest I have ever burned a candle. Not only was the scent top notch, the label brought me so much joy every time I looked at it.

If you get the opportunity to visit Snohomish, make time to shop at Malicious Women Co. They have many niche items beyond candles including custom tea blends and more. Make sure you know the rules before you go in order to steer clear of the "Karen" board.
