One year ago today, the Smokin’ Saturdays Great American Bash aired on the greatest radio station in the world that turns your cob webs into golden lace. Words can’t begin to say how much I miss being in my element and providing the world with the very best in classic rock alongside my brother James Stacy AKA The Duke of Hazard. As the old saying goes, all good things must come to an end and ending this show was definitely a hard pill to swallow, but due to crazy schedules and all of life’s mishaps, this was a decision that had to be made. I still encourage those of you who are following this page to continue doing so, and feel free to encourage new followers to hop on the bandwagon. Even though Smokin’ Saturdays has ended, I do plan to make a return to the radio waves, and there will be some new changes that will be made including a new show name and a small change to the music format (which won’t be much different than the previous format). I can assure that my listeners will not be disappointed, and the good times will continue to roll. Please stay tuned for future updates so you my friends can be prepared for the greatest comeback in American history.

Have a great 4th of July weekend, and please rock responsibly!

For the past four years, many of you made the decision to introduce Smokin' Saturdays with Smokin' Joe and The Duke of Hazard as part of your weekend regiment. We are beyond thankful for the support coming from our faithful listeners over the years as it has been one of the best experiences we have ever been a part of. As the old saying goes, all good things must come to an end. Finding the available time to produce new episodes has been challenging due to scheduling conflicts between our work and school schedules. Therefore, we have made the decision to end Smokin’ Saturdays and allow someone else the opportunity to showcase their talents in the radio business. While this decision wasn’t an easy one to make, we felt this was the best choice. Don’t consider this as a final goodbye as we may return back to the mic to bring you the classic rock you know and love. I want to share my appreciation to Shane and Tea at WMMT FM along with Brett Ratliff for giving us the opportunity to bring Smokin’ Saturdays to life at one of the greatest radio stations to ever exist. These last four years have been amazing and we can’t even begin to express how thankful we are to be given this awesome opportunity. I also want to express my gratitude to our amazing listeners for their continued support and for spending many weekends rocking out to Smokin’ Saturdays. If it wasn’t for our amazing listeners, Smokin’ Saturdays wouldn’t exist. Your support breathed life in our show and we are beyond grateful that you welcomed us into your car radios and home stereo systems to bring you the best variety of classic rock to hit the mountains of eastern Kentucky and all around the world. You guys are truly the best.

With that being said, it has been a blast Smokin’ Saturdays.

Hey everyone! It’s very unfortunate to be posting this once again. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Smokin’ Saturdays will not be airing once again. I know many of you were looking forward to rocking out with us today, but we will be making our return next Saturday as we have another great episode already in the works. As many of you have already seen his announcement made previously this week, the madman himself Ozzy Osbourne announced that his touring career is now over due to health concerns. In honor of his legacy in the music industry, and for introducing the metal genre to many of us, next weeks episode of Smokin’ Saturdays will be a tribute show to Ozzy, and we plan to dish out plenty of your favorites from Ozzy including Black Sabbath as we commemorate his legacy.

So be sure to set those radio dials next Saturday to 88.7 beginning at 4 PM, and have those requests and shout-outs ready for Smokin’ Saturdays!
