MY HUSBAND CREATED A NEW SCHEDULE FOR ME TO 'BECOME A BETTER WIFE' — I TAUGHT HIM A GOOD LESSON IN RESPONSE

So, Jake and I had a pretty solid marriage for the first few years—until he started hanging out with this guy from work, Steve. Steve was this loudmouth from Jake's work, with no girlfriend, no wife, but he somehow knew everything about marriage. And Jake? He started listening. Suddenly, he's coming home with all these "tips" Steve gave him.

Then one day, Jake walks in with this stack of papers, grinning like he just cracked the code to life. He hands it to me, I look down and see the title: "Lisa's Weekly Routine for Becoming a Better Wife." My jaw just about hit the floor. Jake had actually gone ahead and written down a whole schedule for me, based on Steve’s "brilliant" ideas.

The list was INSANE. I'm supposed to wake up at 5 AM every day, make Jake breakfast, then head to the gym to "stay in shape." After that, I'm supposed to clean the house, do laundry, cook dinner, and make snacks for him and his friends when they come over. I was beyond mad, but I didn't let it show. Instead, I smiled and said, "Sure, babe, I'll get right on it."

MY DAUGHTER'S ROOMMATES TURNED HER LIFE INTO HELL — I STEPPED IN TO BRING THEM BACK TO EARTH.

I had decided to rent my late mom's home when my daughter, Abby, asked if it could be leased to her and her four friends.

Prior to moving in, she and her friends, Dani and Ella, bought toilet paper, towels, dish detergent, and laundry detergent. The girls brought most of the stuff they needed, like a small dining table, dishes, and glasses. I gave them a couch, silverware, cookware, and food storage containers.

The other two roommates brought nothing but their boyfriends. That's when they started acting like they OWNED the place. Once, Abby called me in despair:

"Mom...Their boyfriends stop the clothes washer mid-wash, take our clothes out, dump them on the floor, and start their own laundry. They eat our food and leave dirty dishes. They use up all the hot water. And they stopped contributing to the shared supply fund and doing chores."

MY ABSENT STEPDAUGHTER DEMANDED I GIVE HER LATE DAD'S INHERITANCE TO HER & HER HUSBAND — I DID, BUT SHE DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT ONE LITTLE DETAIL.

I (57F) lost my husband of 25 years last year. He had a daughter, Susan (34F).

Our relationship with Susan was fine. She got married to the man of her choice, but after that, it was all downhill.

When he died, he didn't leave a will. After his death, Susan didn't even attend his funeral. Barely six months later, she and her husband barged into our house with a lawyer, demanding I sign some documents and a blank sheet.

MI CUÑADA SE COMPRÓ UN TELEVISOR Y EMPEZÓ A EXIGIRME $1.000 COMO REGALO DE INAUGURACIÓN DE SU CASA, ASÍ QUE LE DI UNA LECCIÓN.

Mi cuñada, Karen, acababa de mudarse a una casa nueva y nos invitó a su fiesta de inauguración. Mi esposo y yo llegamos a la nueva casa de Karen. Y lo primero que vemos es un enorme televisor 4K de 75 pulgadas, expuesto con orgullo en el salón. Karen estaba radiante.

Al final de la velada, me acorraló y me preguntó sin rodeos, "Entonces, ¿para cuándo puedo esperar tus $1.000 por el televisor? Espero que sea tu regalo por la inauguración de la casa. Cuesta $4000, así que espero que todos colaboren con mi regalo".

MES PARENTS SE SONT REMARIÉS SANS SAVOIR QU'IL S'AGISSAIT D'UN PIÈGE TENDU PAR LEURS EX-PARTENAIRES.

Lorsque j'avais 10 ans, mes parents ont divorcé. Au fil du temps, ils se sont tous deux remariés : papa avec Helen, une femme peu aimable qui avait toujours un côté un peu tranchant, et maman avec David, un homme calme et charmant en apparence, mais dont j'ai souvent entrevu la nature contrôlante.

Les années ont passé et ces mariages se sont également effondrés. Mais à ma grande surprise, mes parents ont recommencé à se fréquenter secrètement et ont bientôt annoncé leur mariage ! Ils ont invité leurs ex, mais Helen et David ont refusé avec colère de venir. J'étais vraiment soulagée.

Vous pouvez donc imaginer ma peur lorsque, le jour J, au beau milieu de la réception, Helen et David sont entrés, chacun tenant une coupe de champagne. Mes parents ont échangé des regards nerveux.

MY PRESEUMPTUOUS SIL COPIES MY HAIR, HOBBIES, AND CLOTHES – I DECIDED TO WRAP HER AROUND MY FINGER AT A FRIEND'S WEDDING.

My SIL is my husband's ex... and now she's married to his brother. I know, I know... that's crazy, but it is what it is.

This is not the point. The issue is that ever since I was introduced to her, I noticed that she began copying me. I start doing yoga, she starts too. I buy a red strapless dress, she buys one too. I go to the opera, she goes to the opera. And it all would have been okay if I hadn't overheard her talking to her friend.

"I'm tired of HER copying ME. She knows that Jack loved me, so she tries to be the same."

Disguised in the tattered clothes of a homeless man, Richard embarked on a covert mission to test the integrity of his company’s values, which he feared had eroded over time. His earlier visits to various branches had left him disillusioned, each encounter stripping away a piece of his optimism. Now, he found himself at the last office, a final flicker of hope burning within him.

As he lingered near the entrance of the sleek building, a man in a sharp, tailored suit brushed past him, eyes full of disdain. “Get out of the way, you worthless vagrant!” the man sneered before vanishing inside.

Richard didn’t flinch. After weeks of enduring such contempt, he had become numb to it. To the world, he was no longer Richard, the powerful CEO, but simply Richie, a destitute man seeking a scrap of humanity.

Determined, Richard stepped into the office, his heart heavy with anticipation. He approached the security guard, silently praying for a different outcome this time.

The guard’s eyes narrowed as he took in Richard’s disheveled appearance. “What do you want, you bum?” he barked, his voice laced with disgust.

Richard kept his tone calm, almost pleading. “Just a place to warm up and maybe a bite to eat.”

The guard scoffed, his expression hardening. “This isn’t a charity. You need to leave. Now.”

Undeterred, Richard gently persisted. “Please, I just need some food. Can you call Tom? I’m sure he’ll help.”

The guard let out a harsh, cynical laugh. “Tom? He’ll toss you out without a second thought.”

“Please,” Richard repeated softly, clinging to the hope that kindness might still exist here.

With an exasperated sigh, the guard rolled his eyes, begrudgingly reaching for the phone to call Tom.

In fact, Richard’s goal was more than to test the inclusiveness of his company, and soon, his goal was achieved, but in a completely unpredictable way.👇

I WOKE UP TO FIND MY CAR WRAPPED IN TAPE AFTER I ASKED MY NEIGHBORS TO STOP PARKING IN FRONT OF MY HOUSE - I DID NOT LET IT SLIDE
For weeks, my neighbor would take my parking spot and leave his car right in front of my house. I asked him several times to move his car and not take my spot, explaining that I HAVE CHRONIC LEG PAIN AND NEED A CANE TO GET AROUND. He would just brush me off, and the situation kept happening.
The last time I knocked on his door, I was a bit harsh. I made him move his car so I could park next to my door. I thought that would be the end of it, but today, I woke up to my car being WRAPPED IN TAPE. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?
NOT ONLY DO YOU HAVE THE AUDACITY TO TAKE THE PARKING SPOT OF A DISABLED PERSON, BUT YOU ALSO TAKE REVENGE ON ME AFTER I MAKE YOU MOVE?!

MY HUSBAND AND I WERE ALWAYS TOGETHER. THEN, HE STOPPED INVITING ME TO DINNERS WITH HIS FRIENDS – I GOT GOOSEBUMPS WHEN I ACCIDENTALLY FOUND OUT THE REAL REASON.

WOMAN ON PLANE PUT HER FEET ON MY HUSBAND'S SEAT — I COULDN'T STAND IT & TOOK PETTY REVENGE ON HER.
I was on a flight with my husband last night. We boarded and sat down, and I soon realized that this woman in the row behind us had her bare feet up on my husband's seat. She was there with one of her friends. So my husband turned around and said something like, "Uh, do you think you could put your feet down?" I think they said something in response, but I didn't hear it, and the woman's feet didn't go down. A few minutes later, my husband said, "Hey, will you get your feet off my chair? It's extremely rude." And still, she didn't budge.
So I told my husband that he should find a flight attendant and get them to talk to this woman. He did exactly that, and after a couple of minutes, a flight attendant came and talked to the woman. She was obviously pretty peeved but begrudgingly agreed to put her feet down.
After the flight attendant left, she put her feet right back up.
At this point, I got angry. Why is it so important to you that you have your feet up on someone's chair? You're just being a brat.

CHILD ON A PLANE PASSED ME A NOTE AND $10 — WHAT I READ CHANGED MY LIFE.
I boarded the plane and settled into my seat, noticing a middle school-aged boy sitting next to me. I assumed his mom was in the bathroom or something, but as the plane took off, he was still alone. He fidgeted nervously, clearly uncomfortable, but I tried to mind my own business.
