The International Economic Development Council has recognized Marysville and City of Arlington, Washington - Government with a 2022 Excellence Award for exemplary multi-year economic strategy that led to the creation of the Cascade Industrial Center.

“The communities selected exemplify the ingenuity, leadership, and determination needed to meet today’s economic challenges,” IEDC President and CEO Nathan Ohle said.

The Cascade Industrial Center was initially conceived starting with the Arlington-Marysville Manufacturing Industrial Center Study in 2016. In 2019, the Puget Sound Regional Council granted the CIC official designation as a regional manufacturing employment center.

In the last three years, the CIC has outperformed anticipated growth targets by attracting $1.12 billion in private investment and 2,400 jobs representing 40 companies within its borders shared by Marysville and Arlington.

It is time I come clean...

I am prejudiced - I prefer people who work for a living over those who work to sustain the welfare state. I also prefer women over men as a partner.

I discriminate - against those who support government theft as a way to meet their needs. I also prefer sheep's milk cheese to cow.

I am not inclusive - I exclude from my personal life: bigots, those who use religion or government to impose their views on society, and everyone who believes only the government should be armed. I also exclude fake meats from my diet.

I don't stand for Ukraine (or any government for that matter). I stand for people who oppose government tyranny.

I don't believe all lives matter nor do I believe all black lives matter. I believe that those lives which aren't seeking to subjugate others to their wants and needs, matter. I believe those lives matter which seek peaceful, voluntary means to addressing our needs.

I don't support public schools that are funded by force at the exclusion of private sector alternatives.

I believe political moderates are cowards.

I don't pledge my allegiance to the flag which is a symbolism for slavery and violence.

It's election time again and Republicans are out with their scripts in hand, talking about "Public safety", which is only a bit ironic when you consider how little safety anyone has under the control of Republicans or Democrats.

Public safery is an interesting concept, that seems to allude the politician.

The government if having any legitimacy whatsoever, would prioritize protecting individuals and their property from violence, above all other things. But instead, most in government spend their time legalizing theft and threats of violence in order to finance their machinations, and privileges for special interest groups which coincidently are always working to keep the same politicians elected.

I have a dream that Republicans will actually stand for individual liberty like they are always claiming, so that we wouldn't have to experience the economic consequences which result from spending $TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS of other people's money, and money lrinted out of thin air.

But, therein lies the conundrum for politicians - how can they get re-elected if not awlays trying to one up their challenger by promising to rob their constituents even more, to provide "free" internet, "free" housing, Prussian schooling, militarized police, soccer fields, dog parks, bicycle helmets, "free" cable, processed foods which are subsidized to prop up BigAg, and laws which legalize NIMBYISM and trample property rights in the process.

100 years ago, most Republicans were against;
Government labor cartels
Zoning laws
Occupational licensing
Government monopolies on schools, transit, and self defense.
Subsidizing tuition.
And the welfare state.

Today, there is little resemblamce, as the party circles around "moderates" like Sam Low because someone else is considered "extreme" for wanting limited government and having the courage to speak boldly on issues of importance.

If paternalism was the holy grail that it's always purported to be, then after robbing the taxpayers of $hundreds of trillions of dollars, i think we'd see better results in "education", the war on poverty, the war on homelessness, fewer corporate bailouts, fewer boom and bust economic cycles, and fewer acts of state violence.

Government is nothing but a legalized crime syndicate which enriches itself and cronies under the guise of "saving humanity", while buying votes with stolen money to maintain its omnipotence.
