Oliver, 10, is entering fifth grade at Coronado Elementary and is our Athlete of the Month! A dynamic player, he excels in baseball, where he’s known for his impressive hitting and skills at third base. Oliver also loves basketball, pickleball, and anything fast and fun. He started playing baseball two years ago and has balanced his athletic pursuits with academic achievements, including making the A/B honor roll and competing in a UIL poem reading competition. Oliver admires his father for being strong, funny, and hardworking, and values staying active and engaged in his interests.

Meet your neighbors, Larry and Glenda Daniel. Glenda first encountered the Wolflin neighborhood in 1956 through her grandfather, James Samuel Godsey, who helped lay its brick streets during his time with the WPA. Years later, at just 8 years old, she and her brother ventured to Wolflin on foot for Halloween, lured by promises of full-size candy bars. Little did they expect to find a fancy party awaiting them at the house where Glenda now resides with Larry.
Their journey from childhood adventures to retirement in Wolflin reflects a lifetime steeped in community, family, and cherished memories. Glenda, a retired English teacher and accomplished philanthropist, spent 22 years teaching at San Jacinto College and continues her dedication to community service through programs like SackLunch4Kids and cancer survivor support. Larry, a retired chemical engineer with ExxonMobil, spent 40 years dedicated to environmental research and innovation, including projects in Shanghai and Bangalore.
They now enjoy rooting for local teams like the Sod Poodles and Sandies, and Larry favors classic Westerns for movie nights.

Lacee, an educator at Tascosa High School, and Britten, a soon-to-be graduate and pharmacy technician, both cherish the strong sense of community in Wolflin.
