GearWax Online Radio GearWax is an online radio program hosted bi-weekly by Scott & Kathleen. It happens every other Sunday 6-8 Pacific Time.

We feature tracks mostly from our large and chaotic collection of vinyl (33-1/3 and 45rpm records) and shellac (78rpm records).

The Blues... a uniquely American musical form that grew from its Deep South roots in African-American work songs and spirituals, often expressing life’s heartfelt troubles. Turns out we have a lot of it lining our vinyl shelves, and this week we're sharing some gems, from early recordings of Rober...

This week we're going Back to the Stacks, playing some of our favorite vinyl and 78s. No particular theme, just music we love and a few new oddities we've recently discovered, arranged in a charcuterie of tasteful treats. On tap are tracks by Bonny Guitar, Yulya, Tom Paxton, The Association, Fred As...

For this Sunday’s show, we're again feeling folksy, serving up some gems from a new collection of used Folk Music vinyl that's come our way, including tracks by Tom Paxton, Phil Ochs, Judy Collins, the marvelous intonations of Odetta (pictured), and many others. Things may even get a bit countrified before we lean into a topic on everyone's mind (hint, we'll include Loretta Lynn's notoriously banned song from 1975 The Pill).

Join us for edition #33 of GearWax, our bi-weekly online radio program, this Sunday, April 24 at 6-8pm Pacific (7pm Mountain, 8pm Central, 9pm Eastern), playing music (mostly) from our eccentric and growing collection of vinyl and 78s.

This week we'll take a refreshing dip into some vintage comedy records before turning our sights toward a new set of Under the Covers, featuring cover tracks by the likes of Janis Joplin, Dwight Yoakam, Bryan Ferry, Sofia Karlburg and even the Bee Gees. And then who knows where that will take us...

Show today (Sunday March 13) 6-8pm Pacific, and don’t forget to change your clocks!

This week's playlist explores a more laid-back section of our archive, pulling some great tunes in the Folk tradition. We'll hear from Judy Collins, Joan Baez, Dave Van Ronk, Peter, Paul & Mary, Ian & Sylvia, Tom Waits, Woody Guthrie, and of course the Chairman of the (Wash)Board, Bob Dylan. Well, laid-back, that is, until we wander into a folk sub-genre known as Murder Ballads, songs about human passions run amok. Along the way, we’ve added more than a few surprises.
