Over the years I’ve found that there’s some people who jump in headfirst into podcasting and others who sit on the idea for awhile, largely due to mindset - whether that’s fear that people won’t listen, worry that they don’t have the skills, or something else.

A question that needs answers!

How do you define podcast success? 🤔

To put it a different way, how do you determine whether or not your show is “successful”?

(I’m crossing my fingers that you’ll say more than “my downloads increasing”!)  To me, my podcast is a success if:

✍️It is serving as a helpful tool for my audience.

🚀It is positively influencing my email list growth, sales, and visibility online

❤️It leads to new opportunities and relationships

In other words - I want to see an ROI by way of impact and conversions. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

As online business owners, we use all kinds of technology all day long. And chances are you're a huge Google fan like me, and Google tools are at the top of your most used list.

As a podcast creator, it can be challenging to constantly come up with new and exciting content for your audience. I know that's a fear for a lot of people who haven't started their show yet...that you're not going to have enough to talk about.

That's where content pillars come in handy. They provide a framework for your podcast content and help you stay on track with your overall message and goals.

Is “summer brain” a thing? 🤔 Summertime comes with warm weather, out of the normal routines, and hopefully lots of rest. …this can often decrease your motivation to get #allthethings done in your business - and your podcast. This may be an unpopular opinion, and maybe not the best advice as a podcast manager 👀, but if things like promoting your episodes slip a week here and there, it’s not the end of the world! 🧘‍♀️ IMO, the number one priority for your podcast should be actually creating the content with intention & getting it out into the world. Start there. The truth is, some weeks that will be all you can do. 👉🏻On the days that you have more time, energy, and focus - take advantage of it! Batch record & plan your episode promotion.
