✨ 𝗙𝗢𝗢𝗗𝗜𝗘 𝗙𝗥𝗜𝗗𝗔𝗬 🍛 🍜 🍱

One of the things I love to do most is check out new restaurants, especially those that offer something unique. I visited Nyob Zoo Cafe this week, which has been on my list of places to try since it opened.

The space is large, open, and welcoming. There were plenty of tables set up if you want to eat there, and there are also lots of options if you want to grab something super quick and eat somewhere else. The menu is small but diverse, and they offer daily specials. I decided to get the Beef Pad Thai and an egg roll this time, and both items had great flavor.

Although I didn't go for it this time, I was super excited to see the Ramen Bar setup. When I lived in South Korea, I was always fascinated by the ramen culture. Ramen was a major food group, largely because everyone was so hard-working they didn't have much time to make lunch or dinner. It was standard practice for convenience stores to sell a HUGE variety of ramen. They had the hot water spigot so you could make it right there, and there was usually a counter and chopsticks so you could quickly slurp down your dinner within 5 minutes of walking in the door.

The Ramen Bar works similarly here - you pick the ramen, fill it with water, and then you can add different toppings or sauces to make it your own. I'll be getting this next time because I want to go back and try some more dishes as soon as possible (I'm looking at you, Bacon Kimchi Fried Rice 👀).

If you haven't been to Grow It Forward - Café Harmony yet, you're missing out! They have so many tasty options, this hidden gem won't stay hidden for much longer.

During my visit, I got the Blue Sky Boba and a blueberry scone. The Blue Sky Boba features blueberry boba, locally-sourced lavender tea, a bit of vanilla, and frothed milk of your choice. It was a bit sweet and totally delicious.

This cafe has a bit of everything - fresh baked sweets, fresh juice, grab 'n' go items (that basil hummus tho), fresh greens & basil from their hydroponic farm, breakfast, lunch, and monthly specials. The best part is this cafe is a nonprofit, and 100% of proceeds go towards helping those in need!

Want to know a common misconception about Social Media Managers?

We aren't here to take over your social media and make you go viral immediately - it just isn't possible to do in a week. It typically takes 4-6 months of consistency to see really fabulous growth!

I'm here to help with your social media marketing by using a targeted strategy and consistency 👏

If you want a great partnership with your Social Media Manager, you'll want to ensure you're doing these four things:

1️⃣ You must be on the ball with communication. It's critical that you're able to respond to communication and requests promptly, which avoids delays in content planning.

2️⃣ Be fully open in your explanations and descriptive in your feedback to your SMM. We can't read minds, so we need your input to ensure we're on the same page!

3️⃣ Provide fresh, *up-to-date* content, or find someone to take beautiful photos 📸 Without relevant content in your feed, the reach and engagement of your posts will be limited.

4️⃣ Leave the ball in our court. It's necessary to collaborate with us, but you must also trust us! If you don't trust your SMM, it will be harder to retain a long-term working relationship and grow your account.

It's time for another Food Review Friday! This week, I stopped in at Manitowoc's latest coffee shop - Retro Eighth Coffee & Açaí - and I'm so glad I did!

Of course, I had to try their Açaí Bowl. This dish is a bit like if an ice cream sundae and a yogurt parfait got together and had a baby, and I mean that in the best of ways!

The açaí is pureed and frozen, so it is fruity, sweet, and creamy with the consistency of ice cream. The one I got was topped with fresh strawberries, bananas, blueberries, goji berries, granola, and honey.

It was a nice sweet treat, and the best part is that it's healthy - no sugar is added, but it was still a fresh and decadent start to the day.

To drink, I got their cold brew. Not many places offer this style of coffee, but it is my favorite because it's easy on the stomach and gives me the caffeine rush I crave.

They offer coffee flights, and I was intrigued - I'll try this out next time because I will definitely be stopping in again soon!

Hello everyone! This page is quite new, so I'd like to introduce myself. I'm Stephanie, the owner and sole employee of Good Spirit Marketing.

The business focuses on social media management, food photography, and marketing.

I started developing my photography skills while traveling. I have lived abroad for a combined total of about 5 years - I lived & taught English for a year in South Korea, a year and a half in Thailand, and I spent a year in New Zealand bouncing around a few different places on a working holiday visa. I have so many memories and great pictures from my travels!

I've traveled extensively throughout Asia, and I also had the opportunity to spend about 9 months traveling through Europe and Central America doing Workaway stints - basically you work a bit each week in exchange for free accommodation, which makes traveling very inexpensive!

My first foray in social media management was at Phoenix Hostel & Cultural Center. I had gone to Phoenix originally for two months to see if I'd like it enough to want to relocate there. I quickly was put in the role of Operations Manager, and stayed for quite a bit longer than intended.

Formulating their social media was a new project for me. It was so much fun getting to post local events, telling the stories of travelers that passed through, and highlighting interesting things about the hostel.

When I returned back to Wisconsin, I started doing social media management and food photography for a restaurant I have worked at on and off over the span of about 15 years - Courthouse Pub.

From there, things took off in a way I hadn't imagined. I started doing food photography and social media management for other restaurants in the area, and I just started working with a yoga studio!

I'm looking to expand the clientele that I work with, and would love to work with small, local businesses that want to advertise their services via social media.

I also love taking pictures for restaurants and cafes! It's always interesting to get a feel for a new place and try to capture that through photography.

If you haven't gotten ramen from TOCHI, what are you even doing with your life? 🤣

This spot is amazing - from the atmosphere to the drinks to the food - my goodness, the food! When we stopped in, we tried the dumplings, spam steamed buns, and deviled miso eggs for appetizers. Each was incredibly flavorful, and beautiful to boot.

For entrees, we had the Beef Udon (so tender, so tasty, and that bone marrow butter melting into the broth was next level) and Tonkotsu (so much flavor, and the pork belly was perfect). While we sampled each other's bowls, we each preferred the one we had ordered.

If you haven't checked out this new-to-Sheboygan eatery, this spot might just become your new favorite.

One of my favorite things to do is check out new restaurants, cafes, and other eateries. Every Friday, I'll be sharing a new spot with you!
