And well…I copied God in the creation story in Genesis! Basically, God created something (the world) out of nothing…and that’s what I do! With the help of Holy Spirit, of course! ☺️😉

Academy Award-winning actress, Viola Davis, made a statement today in response to the harsh social media criticisms about her exaggerated Michelle Obama facial expressions.

She told BBC News that “It is incredibly hurtful when people say negative things about your work…but it comes with the territory”

I think every creative needed to hear that quote. Not everyone is going to like your work…but you take the blow and keep pushing.

Push through, remember?

To be honest, I’ve been in a “creative funk” when I’ve just been stuck creatively. I haven’t been inspired by anything so my production has been…blah! And because of the pressure to always produce to keep up, I’ve been OVERWHELMED!

And on top of that, there isn’t a support group for this kind of stuff…

But I heard this phrase today…”push through”

And it inspired me. It helped me to do the opposite of what I feel and think the opposite of what I thought. It gave me confidence.

So here I am…pushing through!

I hope you know that you can too!

When it comes to imposter syndrome, we tend to focus on the ways and reasons why we don’t measure up instead of thinking about why we do

Imposter syndrome will have you thinking that you scammed your way to that position or that it was all an accident…and the whole time everyone is aware of your skills, potential and grace…but you!

Have you ever though that…

…you measure up because you have the mind of Christ?

…you deserve to be in that room because God ordained it for you?

…you were given that task because it aligns with your purpose?

Next time, instead of comparing yourself to others and exposing your shortcomings, remind yourself of why you measure up…because you do!

The only imposter in the room…is imposter syndrome!

…or just simply do it because God told you to.

Music always places me in the perfect mindset to create. But not just any song, it has to be the right song! …and no I can’t explain what the right song is lol…you just know it when it comes and you play it over and over again.

The melody is really peaceful and the lyrics are really reflective.

When it comes to social media marketing, there really isn’t a “one size fits all” strategy…it’s all based on your business/organization goals, structure and target audience.

…but then there are some successes that are only achieved by way of divine instruction.

I believe that there are certain things that God has specifically laid out for our lives and our businesses, and when we consult him before making decisions everything intentionally lines up.

Seeking Him first in EVERYTHING is a must!
