By: Kristine Mae D. Ustares
On August 8, 2026, the First Free Will Baptist Church South District held its first Graduation Ceremony in Plaridel, Aborlan, Palawan. Eighteen graduates were recognized during the celebration, joined by their families, pastors, and guests.
The program included prayer, worship, Scripture reading, and a message from Rev. Anacito III L. Linga, who reminded the graduates that Christian ministry begins with God’s call and requires a life dedicated to His service.
The graduates presented the song “Send the Light” before being formally presented by South District Chairman Rev. Freedom G. Amenin. Certificates were conferred by Rev. Marcos P. Taladro. Sis. Ma. Olivia R. Buscano also shared a testimony of God’s grace and faithfulness throughout their journey.
Bro. Randy D. Jaranilla reminded the graduates that graduation is not the end of their preparation, but the beginning of greater opportunities to serve God and fulfill His calling.
Special appreciation is extended to the South District pastors, Aboabo First Free Will Baptist Church, Ipilan First Free Will Baptist Church, and everyone who contributed their prayers, time, talents, and financial support. Recognition is also given to Sis. Laila P. Dagot, Master of Ceremony, and Sis. Diosa S. Ombang for assisting with food preparation and hospitality.
This first graduation was more than a celebration of accomplishment. It was a testimony to God’s grace and a commitment by these graduates to continue growing, preparing, and serving wherever God leads.
To God be all the glory and honor!
