Today was quite the day for railfanning on the Mohawk Sub!!!! K636 with a CP SD70ACU Leader, Q367 with 7 engines, one being a BNSF "Fakebonnet", and then Q364 with a MAC as Mid DPU, Q003 having 2 Mid DPUs in 2 separate places, 48 having 2 of the Amtrak 50th Anniversary Units leading with Amtrak 50s (Cardinal) train set in the rear of the train, and Q626 with a really nice SD40-2 Leader with a MAC trailing. It was good from the start!!

I guess with every good shot, there will always be that horrible shot. And we see that here with CSX 3194, The Spirit of our Law Enforcement locomotive leading CSX Q020-30, High Priority Domestic Intermodal from Bedfork Park, IL to Worcester, MA.

Yesterday was INSANE!!! 29 trains for me, Plus that race with the Q159 and the Q363, the 363 having the YN2 SD40-2 8482, THEN the Q212 with the 4566 MAC, then the G123 with the BNSF leader, then Q626, then Q205 with CSX 3440 "The Spirit of Ravenna", then P284, then a train at Lock 10, then we moved to RJ and saw 2 Standard Cab Dash-8s and a Pan Am SD40-2, then back to Amsterdam to catch P281, then Q004 with the YN2 AC44 trailing, then Q157 in Fonda, then we went to Guy Park and caught the Q560 with the SD40-2 trailing, then Q364 that slowed down, and we chased and beat to Quist Rd, but before 364 got to Quist we caught P283, then 364 scooted on by. Then as 364 cleared the crossing, the gates went up, the lights of Q627 peered around the corner, we ran across there with plenty of time, got it there, chased it to Guy park again, but got caught up at some red lights, then we saw that Ex-Amtrak baggage boxcar which I then chased back to Fonda succesfully, and when i got to Fonda, I caught G102 with a BNSF SD70ACe leader meeting Q627, and 627 had the little GEEP trailing, it was a GP38-3 number 2062. And then I caught Q635 and then P064 with my favorite P32 leading, number 714. AMAZING DAY!!!

Here are some of my personal favorite shots from Altoona and Cresson this past weekend. Great weekend overall. Saw a lot of trains. Tried my hand at a real camera (those will be posted later on my Facebook) and I got some very good shots with those. Can't wait to go back. @ Pennsylvania

This week was cut short by my friends car losing something in the transmission, and it broke down just outside Albany. Waiting to see when/if it'll be fixed. Still gonna be in Altoona on Thursday or Friday.

After a semi unproductive work day, I heard about CP 650 having extra foreign power. Foreign for the railroad and foreign to this country. It had Ferromex 4054 trailing as rear dpu, unfortunately nose in. I waited 5 hours for this thing because I'm pretty sure it had a slow order on every signal it passed by. @ Albany, New York

Hey guys. I will be railfanning from May 7th-17th. Between 2 states. I will be in and around Amsterdam, NY for National Train Day, and then Sunday won't be railfanning due to mothers day. But on Monday I pick back up, and I'll see where the week takes us. Looking to do an all nighter from the 11th-12th. On the 14th, I go to Altoona, PA and Cresson, PA. Hoping to knock off a couple heritage units there. DM me if you want to meet up anywheres!!! I'll be going between Hannacroix, NY and Utica, NY
