Next week we're having our Wilderness Day at the Hillsboro Library!

We'll have activities for all ages, starting with wilderness games at 4 PM for kids/families, and then a special hiking how-to with the ODNR @ 5:30 PM for tweens - adults.

Free meals for kids! Parents/guardians do not need to pre-register. Just drive through every Wednesday 3:30-5:00 p.m. and fill out a form each time with the children's names and your signature. If you are a non-custodial parent or picking up for someone, just have the written consent from the parent with child’s full name and parent signature so they can make sure kids aren't being claimed multiple times. Maysville – James Mitchell Mercer, 33 of Maysville, passed away Friday May 24, 2024.
Mitch was born April 5, 1991 in Cincinnati to Jackie Simpson Mercer and Ron Mercer. He was a graduate of St. Patrick High School and Northern Kentucky University. He was employed by the Danish Refugee Council and traveled to many countries with the Peace Corps and non-profit agencies as a humanitarian relief aid worker. Mitch was the co-founder of Educate West Point, a charity committed to supporting quality education for Liberia’s most vulnerable youth.

Survivors include his parents Ron Mercer and Jackie Simpson Mercer; his twin brother, Michael Mercer; his grandmother Rachel Simpson; and uncles Keith Mercer, Terry Mercer, James Mercer and Jim (Lisa) Simpson.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, James David and Hazel Lee Mercer; Maternal grandfather, Jim Simpson: and a sister, Sarah Ashley Mercer.

Mitch’s family will be receiving visitors from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday May 29, 2024 at Brell and Son Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow at the Maysville Knights of Columbus Hall.

LifeWise is having a BOWL-A-THON Fundraiser to begin fundraising for the coming school year. The $100 registration fee covers your bowling, dining, and prizes, and each individual bowler collects pledges to support LifeWise Patrick Henry.
You can collect per-pin pledges like .20 cents per pin where you track how many pins you knock down and collect the payment after the bowl-a-thon, or flat pledges where you have someone simply donate to LifeWise on your behalf. All funds raised through pledges will fund the gospel being spread through LifeWise Academy Patrick Henry!

Lane reservations are first call first serve so call Jody today to register your team and reserve your lane! Bring your registration fee and your team's pledges to the event.

Mark your calander and come and enjoy the days with friends and family!
There is a vendor application and camping application at our FB page if you’re interested in setting up a booth or camping that weekend.
We will have split the pot and drawings for a guitar each night signed by the bands.
Over 40 vendors committed to attend and we will have adult beverages to enjoy while listening to music and shopping the vendors.

Here's a message from our Community Relations Director, Nichole Bullock:

"I am honored to be a part of LifeWise-Elida! I was first introduced to Released-Time Religious Instruction when our church in Napoleon helped launch LifeWise in the Napoleon Schools. Because of its Christ-Centeredness, I fell in love with the program and started volunteering in Elida as soon as we moved to Allen County in September 2022.

Our family was warmly welcomed by the entire Elida community; I therefore count it a great joy to reciprocate that welcome by sharing the love of Jesus with Elida students. It’s exciting to see God working in my own life, in my community, and in our schools. What a privilege to participate in this work!

My husband Chip and I have been married for 20 years and have four children that all attend Elida. On most days, you will find me at home with my children, at various sporting events, or supporting my husband in his role as Lead Pastor at Lima Community Church.

God placed a call for ministry on my life when I was young, and it has been such a blessing to serve and minister in various ways through the years. I thank Him for His ongoing faithfulness in this next chapter He has kindly put in front of me! I am !

Providers take very good care of the individuals that receive county board services. Therapeutic services can be the best hands-on happiness!!! Patty loves farm life and is loving her new miniature donkey named “Sassy”. If you have ever seen Patty at the Adams County Fair during “A Day in the Ring”, then you know the joys that animals bring to people ❤️ Thank you again providers for providing joy!

Clermont County Family & Children First Council approved $15,000 in funding for su***de prevention efforts in the 2023-2024 school year for the following schools:

Goshen Local School District
West Clermont Local School District
New Richmond Exempted Village School District
Williamsburg Local Schools
Grant Career Center

Each was awarded $3,000 for su***de prevention efforts.
