Hey, just wanted to let y'all know that my last Local Licks show was on Tuesday 9/5.
Words can't express how much joy hosting this show has given me. The music community in Austin is like this wonderful, rockin', bubbling-over creative stew, and it has been my privilege to share their music over the airwaves.
I want to thank all of the Austin musicians who made hosting this show such a blast. I want to thank KLBJ-FM for giving me this platform. And I want to thank all of my co-workers--you guys are golden.
I love you all 💙
P.S. I hear that the Local Licks show will continue with a new host, so stay tuned!

Yesterday afternoon 400+ people came together to celebrate the life of Johnny Walker at Antone's, and the room was so full of love that it must've spilled out into the street. Thank you Soulhat for reuniting for this show, and crushing it. Thank you to The Patrice Pike Band for bringing the love-energy to the room. Thanks to Antone's for being so cool to work with. Thanks to everyone who came. Thanks to Johnny's son Tyler who made us laugh instead of crying, giving the eulogy. It was Tyler's birthday.
