I just wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for the opportunity to provide sound on a recent mini-tour in southeast Texas with Chance Tinder and his amazing band, featuring Bill Cormier, Dave Hecker, Jerry Gray, Yo Williams, and Sheila Fisher Page. It was a pleasure to work with all of you, and I look forward to seeing you again in Yuma! A huge thanks to Ross Caligiuri, Scotty Pearson, Drew Baloh, Kendall Hunkin, Terry Davies and the entire TAD Management crew for their trust and support!

Just after sunrise yesterday at Chandler Park, the Beckway Sound Solutions crew getting set up for a City of Chandler Diversity and Semicolon Society event, “Embracing Wellness” -the second event in the Building Better Mental Health series. A very special thanks to Kelly Baer, Steve Henderson (not pictured), and guest engineer Butch Bobcat for braving the early morning temperatures to load in a full PA and our backline drum kit for the teen band showcase.

About our logo:

Our logo is steeped in family history. It was extracted from a photograph taken more than 100 years ago, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, where my great-great-grandfather resided after emigrating from England.

The family business at the time was a moving and storage company, which utilized horse-drawn cargo trailers. Visible on the side of the trailers is a hand-painted sign identifying the business. The Beckway family name is fairly clear. The words “Cartage” and “Storage” flank the family name on the upper right and lower left, respectively.

When I thought about creating a business name for what I do, I wanted it to be something that easily associates me with what I do. Since people were getting to know me by name as a sound engineer, it was only natural to include my family name in the name of the business.

Family is very important to me – so instead of creating a flashy new logo designed by a graphic artist, I decided to extract the logo from these old photographs, and not just try to re-create it by using a similar font. I did this to pay tribute to my family and its history.
