When I was in high school, I wanted to study marketing. Unfortunately my college did not offer it as a major. They didn't even offer it as a minor until the year I graduated. With what I learned for my business degree, I understand the various aspects of the business - not just the marketing. Besides, who could have predicted the changes to "old school marketing" that would occur in the last 2 dec

ades -- scratch that....last 5 years? What I finally learned, more than 2 decades removed from my college commencement, is that I love helping local businesses succeed. Yes, our world is moving online, but we cannot survive without community. Our local economies, by and large, are fueled on Main Street. Our businesses, the relationships we make and sustain, are how our businesses grow. Adapting and merging digital (online) and our local Main Street are how we grow and survive together. Surviving, say, during a pandemic. Businesses that were online before March, 2020 or moved to a digital presence during 2020 were more likely to keep their doors open. Call it "meeting your customers where they are." Because, statistics show they're online -- about 155 minutes per day. Maybe it's time to do a marketing audit of your online presence and see where the gaps are. I would love to help you through this process!

As business owners, there are days and weeks when we need the "crush it!" motivation. Then, there are weeks when it's all we can do it just make it to the office. Both seasons are just that... seasons. We weren't made to live indefinitely in either one of them. Embrace times when you can crush it, and press on through the days when all you can do is strive to move the needle forward on our to do list.
