While going viral sounds like a quick fix to skyrocket sales, I'm about to give you a reality check about going viral!

👀 Here’s why chasing viral fame might not be the best plan:

1. New Followers Don't Automatically Convert to Buyers
That massive influx of followers feels great, but are they really your target customers? Without a solid plan to nurture and convert them, they’re just numbers. If you don't have a solid website, email funnel, or even sales strategy, you can kiss all those new eyes on your social pages goodbye!

2. Your Ideal Audience Might Not Be What Gets Attracted
Viral content often captures attention for its novelty, not its relevance to your ideal customers. Focus on crafting content that speaks directly to the needs and wants of your true audience. It's about quality, not just quantity!

3. Most Viral Content are Flukes
about 90% of viral content wasn’t created to be virl—it just happened. Authenticity in those moments resonates with people. So, when you over-engineer it, it loses that spark!

Well you can’t expect the content that resonates with current followers to have the same impact on new prospects and vice versa. Luckily, I've broken down the different levels of the buyers journey so you know exactly how to tailor that message for each spot your potential customer is in!

~Top of Funnel (Awareness): This is when you call out the potential frustrations your customer is currently feeling and how you are the solution!

Are there certain things that make you give an immediate eye roll? Are any of them social media related? I'm on here every day, and there are a few things that start making my eye twitch every time I see them. Since my doctor told me that is stress-related, I thought I'd start a mini therapy session, and unload on all you find people all the things on social media that make me go "immediately no". I recently had a breakthrough...

It started with this photo. A highlight from 2018 and a few product photos (this being one) popped up. Immediately it put my back in time when I took this photo. I had been owning my previous business for about a year, and on the cusp of experiencing one of the most successful years of my life that led to the unhappiest year of my life.

Later, a call with one of my business coaches, she asked what our personal why was for getting into this industry. While others listed how they intended to build agencies, and have 6 figure businesses, my reply was "I just want to pay my bills. and do what I want when I want. I already built a 6 figure business and I hated my life." that's when it hit me.

As some of you know I went from being a boutique owner to a social media manager. I claimed I made the transition because I loved social media and helping small businesses. now while that is very true, that wasn't the real, true to my core reason. the real reason I made the switch? I was tired! I was stressed, hating my life, and didn't know what to do. While I loved the industry I was in, and still miss it tremendously to this day, I hated what my life had become as a successful business owner.

But why was that? Well it's because I burned myself out. I didn't seek the help I truly needed when I needed it because I thought "oh I can just do that myself". Just because you know how to do something, doesn't mean you should. So my time and energy was spent on day to day tasks that needed to be done, instead of where I was truly needed to grow and scale the business to the point where I could step away for a little bit and know things were being handled in my absence.

So I encourage you to ask yourself, "what is something I can hand off today that would help build growth and sustainability". Now I can list off all the reasons why social media is one of those (on average 20 hours a week is spent by entrepreneurs trying to come up with marketing ideas, creating what is needed for it, then executing.... shameless plug!) , but it doesn't have to be!

Dont walk away from the business you've built and cherished because you're too tired to continue!

Reflecting on a transformative retreat in the Black Hills with a circle of phenomenal women!

For 2024, I've refined my vision as a social media strategist! with the guidance of some power house women, I delved into evaluating the current state of my business, forging strategies, and setting dynamic goals for the year ahead. What an amazing time it was to unwind and craft an amazing 2024 vision.

With all that, I was able to create a theme for the year as well! How many times does it take for someone to see your before they buy??

The answer? Seven! It's an average of seven times before someone decides to pull the trigger. And that's just the average, meaning some are even more!

Think about it in terms of you own buying behavior. How many times did you see a business after you were first introduced to them before you made a purchase? Maybe it even took a freebie for you to finally say "Ok! today is the day! Let's do it!"

So what does that mean for you? That means creating a lifetime customers is essential to sustainability! Do you want to be constantly trying to catch new customers with seven pieces of content? Or do you want to keep top of mind for all your current customers? Personally, I prefer the later!

Contemplating 2023: A year of unexpected turns, growth, and brave leaps!

Using my word of the year "Bloom" as my guiding light, 2023 brought forth new beginnings, farewells, fulfilling dreams, and taught me to weather unforeseen challenges with resilience.

Last winter's retreat was meant for my online boutique's strategy, yet it sparked a whole new path into taking my side hustle of helping burned out entrepreneurs with their social media strategy, and turn it into a full thriving business.

Yet, amidst growth lie hurdles. Juggling clients, my boutique, and new ventures proved challenging. The toughest choice was saying good-bye to my "baby", the boutique, passing it into capable hands that share my vision.

This year was a journey of personal evolution! Overcoming obstacles opened gates to new avenues, and yes, it culminated in that dream trip to Japan!

Before I start sharing all things Tokyo, I just need to give a shoutout to my daily companions (besides Juan ha) who made my travels so much easier from start to finish! My 1948 Leather Jesse and Lauren made by one of my favorite gals Rebekah Scott. I cannot suggest these products enough!!!

The Jesse (crossbody) is the ultimate traveling essential! I am someone who likes to be hands free most of the day, so not having to worry about a large purse, and stroam freely, but still have a cute bag was HUGE!! Plus, pick pocketers in tourists areas are always a fear of mine (Thank you London 2010). The Jesse ensures no one is taking that bag off me, or getting inside it!

The Lauren (larger bag) helped me be able to travel in style with all my business essentials and tucked easily under the plane seat.
