Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) supremo and former Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday said he did nothing wrong in collecting funds for the party, and the government is using the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) after all other tactics failed.
While addressing his party workers at the F9 Park via video link, Imran said Islamabad has been made a fortress as if someone is attacking from outside, the constitution allows us to protest peacefully but It seemed as if an enemy army had come, adding that PTI always hold protest within the constitutional limits.
“The Punjab administration was getting secret help in the by-elections but they lost the elections despite the rigging when all these tactics failed, they finally used the Election Commission,” he said.
Regarding the recent ECP.. verdict, the former PM said that the ECP took decisions beyond its limits, adding ..that the rulers have made the Election Commission the way through ;;which governments are controlled. “I have been pushing for electronic voting machines for two and a half years and if EVM is introduced the game of// secret hands ,,will end when the voting ends,” he added.
The former PM ///said that how can a political party run without money? If a political party wants to run, it needs money, adding that when he formed a political party, it was very difficult to collect money, overseas Pakistanis first gave me money and //supported me, and half of Shaukat Khanum s money was overseas Pakistanis.
“PTI is the only party,, which started.. political fund-raising, and political parties in the world do fund-raising.,, Fund raising details of PPP and PML-N should also be brought forward,”,, he demanded.

Pakistan's Minister for Power Khurram Dastagir claimed that ousted Prime Minister Imran Khan had "fascist plans" to extend his rule for 15 years by getting the entire leadership of opposition parties disqualified.
Dastagir said he had the information that Khan had decided to get all the opposition leaders, ..right from Pakistan.. Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president and incumbent premier Shehbaz Sharif to Ahsan Iqbal, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and all others, disqualified ..by the end of this year, Dawn news reported.
Lending strength to his claim, the Minister recalled.. that Khan had also announced that the services of.. 100 judges would be hired to expedite cases against his political opponents,
Dastagir expressed these views during a private... TV show while responding to the question about what had prompted his party to accept the country's rule for just one and a half years.

Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General (DG) Major General Babar Iftikhar on Wednesday denied that his remarks from a day ago about there being no foreign conspiracy against the previous government were political in nature as he responded to PTI leaders' objection to his rejection of party chairman Imran Khan's claim.
In an interview with anchor.. Kamran Shahid on Dunya News show On the front on Tuesday, the DG ISPR had, not for the first time, rejected the conspiracy claim made by Imran,,, who insists he was ousted from the top office through a US-backed manoeuvre,, with the help of local players.
Regarding the first,, National Security Committee (NSC) meeting on the diplomatic cable at the centre of the conspiracy allegation that was held during Imran's tenure, the,, DG ISPR had said it was attended by top military leadership and the participants were "clearly and in detail briefed by agencies that there is no kind of.. conspiracy or any evidence of it".
His comments had provoked a response from PTI leaders Asad Umar and Shireen Mazari today who.. said the remarks were akin to wading into political matters and were more an.. "opinion" than a fact.

Former Pakistan prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan on Tuesday accused Shehbaz Sharif government of attempting to put him behind bars on cooked-up charges and asserted that his party's movement for "real freedom" would not stop until the coalition government led by PML-N announces to conduct elections.
"They [government] are trying to put me behind bars on trumped-up charges so that this movement could be stopped," he said while addressing his party's lawyers forum at his Banigala residence in Islamabad on Tuesday, Dawn reported.
Imran Khan reiterated that the incumbent rulers came into power through a 'foreign conspiracy' and asked his supporters to brace themselves up for any situation if he got arrested on 'fake' first information reports (FIRs).
"Come what may this movement for real freedom will not stop till the announcement of early elections," the Dawn quoted Imran Khan as saying.
Speaking about money laundering case against Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Imran said the accused became the judge in his own case.
"You have to stand up for the rule of law... ensuring rule of law is the responsibility of lawyers and judiciary."He also lashed out at the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) for holding up notification of MPAs on reserved seats of Punjab Assembly, saying the move was aimed at protecting the government of Chief Minister Hamza Shehbaz.
"If they [ECP] fill vacant reserved seats, he [Hamza] would lose the majority," he said.
Imran also alleged that the ECP was working hand in glove with the ruling PML-N to rig next elections. "No matter what they do we will win the elections," he maintained.
