3 years ago I felt hopeless. But now I’m happy.

I woke up a little late and a lot hung over this morning.

I went out to a comedy show last night with some friends and had a few too many.

So instead of getting right to work this morning, I went to the deli for an egg sandwich, drank some AG1, and took some time to recover and reflect.

I realized that I am truly happy for the first time in over a decade.

And it’s all because of the efforts that I’ve made to improve every aspect of my life in the last few years...

𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵:
I committed to better nutrition and regular workouts. I’ve lost 85 pounds and am in the best physical shape of my life at age 41.

𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀:
I left the corporate world to become an entrepreneur. After a couple of years of struggling to figure it out, I am earning more money now than I ever did

𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲:
I earned enough to move my family from a dumpy apartment into a brand-new townhouse and fund an upcoming vacation. (our first in 8 years)

𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀:
I am improving my communication and setting better boundaries, which has helped me be a more present and nurturing husband and father.

𝗙𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵:
I started my relationship with God. I was baptized last year during the Easter vigil. I pray every day and go to church every Sunday.

I still have a lot to accomplish and a long way to go toward building the life I want for my family.

But I’m happy right now. ☺️

Much love,
Coach D

Day ‘n’ Nite by Kid Cudi

That song was playing when this photo was taken
13 years ago today.

I remember it so vividly for a couple of reasons…

1- It was taken seconds before I dropped it down
too low and split my tuxedo pants.

2- Lissette and I equally loved that song and to this
day, we do that same dance when we hear it.

13 years ago I married my best friend.

It was the best day of my life.

We had these grand life plans. One of them was
to recreate our wedding day 10 years later.

We planned to renew our vows and throw another
banger that would rival our wedding day.

That plan didn’t happen. (not because we did want to)

Because we were broke.

- I lost my big important corporate job
- We had a huge mortgage and two kids
- We were depleting our savings to stay afloat

But that didn’t break our spirits.

- We sold our home and moved to Charleston
- Lissette stepped up to homeschool our kids
- I started my own business and it’s taken off

We’ve been through some sh*t!

And sure it was challenging at times but
marriage isn’t supposed to be easy.

Your partner is supposed to…
- Inspire you
- Challenge you
- Bring out your best

I am a better person with Lissette DelVecchio
at my side and am grateful for our life together.

Happy Anniversary Babe! 🥰

We’re two years away from 15.
And that party is going to be epic!

“Average” Content Creators
⤷ Create what they THINK people want

“Elite” Content Creators
⤷ Create what they KNOW people want

How do you ‘know’ what people want?

You gotta do your research!

Here are my top 3 ways to research content:

1- Poll your community
2- Observe viral content
3- Record your sales calls

Don’t be average. Be elite.

PS. Who you got? Lebron or MJ? 🐐
(worst debate ever. it’s not even close)

Two years ago, I joined a program called 10x10.
The goal was simple. Make $10 in 10 weeks.

I hustled hard and it came down to the wire.
But I did it. $10k in 10 weeks.

Breaking 5-figures at the time felt like
a monumental achievement.

Fast-forward to 2024:
5 months in, and I hit 6-figures.

May was a record-breaking month.
And the momentum is still going strong.

But the road to get there was pretty bumpy.
There were moments I thought about giving up

I even shut down my company in May last year.

But persistence pays off. Do right by people, ask for
help when needed, and keep showing up.

You’ll surprise yourself with what you can achieve.

Oh, and I did treat myself to a little something to celebrate. 😉

Do you reward yourself when you hit goals?

3 big moves that changed my life in 2023.

First off, 2022 was the toughest year of my life.

- I hated my job.
- Side hustle was a bust.
- I was drowning in debt.

It was getting desperate. I was emptying my
401k to pay the bills.

I had to sell my 4-bedroom house with a pool
and move into a shotty 2-bedroom apartment.

I was in a tough place mentally and the business
and financial struggles continued into 2023.

Then I made these 3 moves...

𝟭- 𝗜 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝘆 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗲𝗱𝗜𝗻

I was an Instagram guy and I was struggling to
stand out and connect with clients.

After 6 months of consistent posting, I built an
engaged audience and was starting to get leads.

Within 12 months, LinkedIn was bringing in over
$20k a month in revenue.

𝟮- 𝗜 𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝘀 𝗺𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵.

Adam and I tried to build a business together
and it failed. We weren’t good partners.

But as my coach, it works. I have no experience
running a business. Adam owns 10 businesses
so his experience obviously helps.

But most importantly, he truly gives a sh*t
about me. We are friends. More like brothers.

Because we have that relationship, he’s able to
call me out for my bullsh*t.

𝟯- 𝗜 𝗽𝘂𝘁 𝗺𝘆 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗶𝗻 𝗚𝗼𝗱.

I grew up pretty confused about God. My parents
were different religions and neither were committed.

My wife and I agreed to raise our kids Catholic.
It was important to her but didn’t matter to me.

To support her and the kids, I started to attend
church every Sunday. I went for 2 years.

Finally, I decided it was time to put my faith in God.
I was baptized and confirmed last Easter.

TLDR
1- Find the right channel to grow your brand
2- Find a mentor to guide you on the journey
3- Have faith that God will take care of you

This is why I hold nothing back in my content.

I’ve been through the struggles and I want
to help you get through yours too.

You got this homey! ✌️

99% of my connections don’t know this about me…

I am a super selfish person.

Most people say, “I do everything for my family.”

Not this guy. I do it all for me!

My favorite thing in the world is being with these two.

I selfishly want as much time with them as possible.

So I built a business that allows me that time.

It’s okay to be selfish sometimes. 😁

PS. Any big plans for the weekend?
