I’m so proud of this young lady. Sharayah has finished her vocals for her very 1st ever record releasing on Platinum Records Nashville titled Appalachia. Appalachia is releasing spring of 2023. Her first single releases February 1st 2023. Sharayah’s home is Virginia and now Nashville. Sharayah mother was a singer and just losing her mom to cancer In August of this year she is following mothers last wishes for her to follow her dream as a recording artist.
Sharayah as an artist has performed at festivals in her home state of Virginia and also performances with Chance McCoy from the Old Crow Medicine Show, living with him and family when she first came to Nashville. I truly wanted to help her bypass a lot of common mistakes that young artist make mentoring her and signing her after just meeting her on the second day that she moved to Nashville. I realized after hearing her voice for the first time, in my lifetime in the music industry I have never heard a voice that is so distinctive as hers.
Sharayah and myself Co wrote her title track “Appalachia”. A majority of her record came from songs out of my 62 song George Strait catalog that I now own. A lot of that catalog wound up on her record with songs that I cowrote with Kostas. Kostas wrote Monster Hits like, I can love you better than that for the Dixie Chicks, I’m not that lonely yet for Dwight Yoakam, Patty Loveless, blame it on your heart. too many monster hits to mention in one post.
I also wrote myself as I was producing her record for the direction that she wanted to take as a artist. Ironically Sharayah feels one of the two of my self written songs will be her first up tempo single, with flavors of the Eagles, Pure Prairie league, and the Allman Brothers with my southern rock roots.
I signed a management contracts and a recording contract with Sharayah with intentions of breaking her career. And then passing her a long to a major label taking her career to superstardom. And then I will still continue mentoring and caring for this young lady with producing and managing her career.
Sincerely
Greg Hudik
