complications may result in the increase of morbidity and mortality rates of mothers and babies. This affects the quality of life of the population. Moreover, starting a family at the very young age when the emotion is not in the stability stage would affect the family relationship. This may cause the controversy easier that may lead to the divorce, broken families, affecting the children and leading to more social problems.
From the above mentioned problems, the researcher wanted to study the various factors that influence s*xual behavior of students at Loei Rajabhat University by using Abramson conceptual framework. The results of the study would be used as guidelines to develop an individual cognitive structure by developing appropriate model and pedagogical process about s*xual behavior learning and teaching. This would eventually lead to improving the quality lives of graduates.
Research objectives
The objectives of this research were threefold:
1. To investigate various factors including personal factors, knowledge about s*xual in*******se, experience of s*xual in*******se, family factors and environmental factors that are associated with s*xual behaviors of the students.
2. To examine the level of knowledge about s*xual in*******se, experience of s*xual in*******se, and s*xual behavior of the students who had different personal family and environmental characteristics.
3. To study the influence and priority order of the factors that could predict s*xual behavior of the students.
Expected benefits
The results of the research led to three main benefits:
1. Functional benefits: the results of the research revealed the factors that influence s*xual behaviors of students at Loei Rajabhat University. This information would be useful to teachers, parents, executives, educators, and other parties in relation with education provision. This information may be applied in regards to the strategic management in arranging disciplining sessions to the students for more proper s*xual behaviors.
2. Academic benefits: the results of this research would benefit academically that could enhance the knowledge and guidance in the development of cognitive structures of students to be able to discriminate on the inappropriate s*xual behaviors as well as to create the positive attitudes about s*xual behaviors.
3. Research benefits: the results of this research would be regarded as the basic data on student s*xual behavior research in other areas later.
Research methodology
The samples used in this study were 374 male and female students at Loei Rajabhat University, who were registered in the regular programs.
Research variables
Variables consisted of the following factors:
1) Personal factors included age, gender, year of study, faculty or department, income received during study, and academic achievement.
