Last month, New Riff Distilling released their oldest bourbon to date; New Riff 8 Year. This batch follows all the rules of being a Bottled-in-Bond bourbon except that it blends bourbon from two different distilling seasons. Therefore, it is not technically a bottled-in-bond. With an impressive age statement of 8 years; this is relatively affordable, coming in at $67.99 for its MSRP. This whiskey underwent the warmest 8 year period for high temperatures in the Cincinnati from 2015 through the end of 2023. The hottest temperature that it experienced checks in at 96° on July 4, 2018. The coldest temperature that it experienced was -8° back on December 23, 2022. Hope you enjoyed the review! Are you hunting for Old Forester 1924? It is one of the most sought after new releases of 2024 and comes with big shoes to fill.
