🌟 Boost Your Social Media Engagement with These 5 Simple Ideas 🌟

As a business owner, keeping your social media fresh and engaging can sometimes feel like a lot of work. But the truth is, with just 15 minutes a day, you can create impactful content that sparks conversation and builds your community. Here are 5 easy ideas to help you boost engagement and grow your presence online:

Highlight Top Posts
Every social media account has posts that perform better than others. Whether it’s a customer testimonial, a viral design, or a fun behind-the-scenes moment, revisit your top-performing posts and share them again with a fresh perspective. You can add new insights or updates to keep the content relevant and spark even more interaction. Sharing successful content keeps your engagement high and reminds your followers of your brand’s best moments.

Engage with Your Followers
Social media is about conversation, so don’t just post and walk away! Respond to your followers’ comments, thank them for sharing your content, and promote meaningful interactions. Showing your followers that you care about their opinions and appreciate their support makes them feel seen and valued. This will lead to stronger relationships and more loyal followers.

Brainstorm Session
Want to create content your followers actually care about? Ask them directly! Host a brainstorming session and ask your audience for feedback on what they want to see from you next. Whether you’re trying to decide on informative posts or a product idea, getting your followers involved in the creative process makes them feel included—and they’ll love it when you bring their suggestions to life!

Behind-the-Scenes
Let your followers into your world! Sharing a behind-the-scenes look at your creative process or workspace humanizes your brand and shows the effort and thoughtfulness behind every design or product you create. People love to see the “real” side of your business, and it builds a deeper connection with your audience. Whether it’s a sneak peek at a new project or a quick video showing your creative process, these posts let your followers feel like they’re part of the journey.

Set Monthly Goals
Everyone loves a good goal! Share your monthly goals with your followers, whether it’s hitting a sales target, launching a new design, or expanding your product line. Not only does this keep your followers in the loop, but it also makes them feel like they’re supporting you on your journey. And don’t forget to ask them about their own goals! This encourages engagement and creates a space for mutual encouragement.

By spending just 15 minutes a day on these simple but effective strategies, you can grow your online community, boost engagement, and create lasting connections with your audience. We went camping over the weekend and it was so much fun to get outdoors and have a different experience with the kids. Would I want to do it for more than a night or two… absolutely not.

I came to this realization…
Camping is a lot like DIY marketing. You technically can do it yourself. Buy or gather all the supplies, teach yourself how to put up a tent, gather wood for a fire, sleep on an air mattress on the floor, and learn from mistakes along the way.

Or, you can stay at a hotel where everything is already done for you and it makes your life easier and more comfortable. It’s more expensive but you get the benefits that come along with it.

The same goes for social media marketing. You can absolutely do it yourself and if you enjoy it and have time for it, that might be the way to go. However, if it’s not something you enjoy… it’ll be like camping when you’re really more of a hotel person. 😂❤️

At Ollie Kat Design, we’re all about optimizing your social media presence, but we want to make sure you know what our services don’t do:

🚫 We don’t create your overall business strategy.
While we craft a social media plan that supports your brand and goals, your business and marketing strategies need to come from you and/or your team. Social media marketing works best when it complements your proven sales strategy and/or funnel, driving even more results. We work alongside your sales and marketing team to amplify your efforts, but we need that strong foundation in place first.

🚫 We don’t take over your personal accounts.
We focus solely on your business's social media pages. Your personal accounts remain yours to manage, but we ensure your business’s presence is on point and performing.

🚫 We don’t do everything for you.
We handle content creation, posting, and audience engagement, but we still need your collaboration. Whether it's approving content or sharing business updates, we’re a team, and your input is key for authenticity and alignment with your business vision.

We understand that as a small business, you’re juggling a lot, and we’re here to support you every step of the way.

If you have a sales strategy in place and are ready to amplify it through social media, we’d love to help take your online presence to the next level. Just remember, social media works best when it’s part of a bigger marketing plan that’s focused on achieving real results. Let’s team up to help your business grow and shine – we’re with you all the way!

Social media isn’t just about posting—it’s about creating connections, conversations, and conversions. If you want to grow your business, you need a strategy that goes beyond the basics.

Market your business on social media with a fresh approach:

- Create a "Character" for Your Brand – Give your brand a personality! Whether it’s witty, bold, or ultra-relatable, your content should feel like it’s coming from a real person, not just another business.

- Turn Your DMs into a Sales Funnel – Use conversation starters, polls, and engagement questions to encourage direct messages. Once people are in your inbox, nurture them with helpful advice before making an offer.

- Repurpose Like a Pro – Turn a single video into multiple posts, blog snippets, email content, and short-form clips. The more places your content lives, the wider your reach.

- Paid Ads That Don’t Feel Like Ads – Instead of generic "Buy Now" ads, run engagement-first campaigns. Share a powerful story, an interactive quiz, or a free resource before leading people to your offer.

- Leverage Community Marketing – Partner with other businesses, get featured in industry groups, or start your own local Facebook community to attract the right audience.

- Give Value, Then Sell – People scroll past sales pitches, but they stop for solutions. Teach, entertain, and inspire—then make your offer.

How much does it cost to get a new customer?

Industry averages range from $20 to $200+ per customer, depending on your product or service. The bigger the investment, the longer the process. That’s why we focus on low-entry offers (freebies, calls, small-ticket items) to bring people in before selling higher-ticket services.

📈 Is it worth it? That depends on the lifetime value (LTV) of your customer. If you spend $100 to acquire a customer who will spend $1,000 with you over time—that’s a solid return. But if your ad spend outweighs your revenue, it’s time to rethink the strategy.

🎯 The bottom line? Social media ads are an investment, not an overnight fix. They work best as part of a bigger strategy that includes email marketing, great content, and strong customer service.

Unless you have an established ad strategy with data to prove your process, the first couple months are going to be full of testing and shifting. Test a tactic, track for a few weeks, then shift or update your tactic if it's not delivering the results you are expecting.

Setting realistic expectations is very important when first starting to advertise your business on social media.

If you’re not using Facebook Groups as part of your marketing strategy, you’re missing out on one of the best ways to connect with your ideal audience. Unlike your business page, where organic reach can be limited, groups offer direct access to engaged communities that are already discussing topics relevant to your industry.

To find the right Facebook groups, start by searching relevant keywords related to your industry, services, or audience interests. Look at where competitors are active, explore local community and networking groups that allow business participation, and ask your customers which groups they find valuable.

To grow your business through Facebook groups, focus on providing value first by answering questions, sharing insights, and building trust. Post helpful content like industry tips and success stories, engage consistently by joining discussions and asking questions, and take advantage of self-promotion opportunities on designated days. By showing up authentically and adding value, you can establish authority, attract new followers, and generate leads.

Are you using Facebook Groups as part of your strategy? If not, it’s time to start! Need help crafting a social media strategy that works? We’ve got you covered. Let’s talk!

🚨 Thinking about running social media ads for your business?
Here’s what you need to know before you invest!

We totally understand—you need to increase revenue quickly, and you’re looking at paid ads as a solution. And you’re right—paid ads are a powerful tool to get your business in front of the right people fast. But here’s the thing… they aren’t a magic button for instant sales.

If you’ve never run ads before (and we don't mean just boosting a post) and don’t have a marketing plan in place, we need to be strategic. Ads work best when they’re part of a bigger system—meaning, you have a clear offer, a strong message, and a way to nurture leads once they show interest. Otherwise, you’re just throwing money at Facebook and hoping for the best.

The good news? We can absolutely use ads to start building momentum, but we need to be realistic. The first phase is about testing—figuring out what works, who responds, and how to optimize your budget. Most businesses see real traction after a few months, not a few days. This is very important to understand when signing up for our services.

If you need immediate revenue, we'd recommend also looking at quick-win strategies, like tapping into your existing network, offering limited-time promotions, or increasing follow-ups with past customers—while we build an ad strategy that sets you up for long-term success.

Let’s create a plan that makes sense for where you are right now and where you want to go. What’s your current monthly revenue goal, and what’s your budget for marketing? We can map out the best approach together.

Ready to make social media work for your business? Let’s talk about a strategy that makes sense for your goals! Send us a message or visit www.olliekatdesign.com to get started. 📩

Thinking about growing your business on social media without ads? Here’s what you need to know!

Organic social media (posting without paid ads) is great for building brand awareness, credibility, and community—but it’s a long game, not a quick-fix lead machine.

What can you expect?
✅ More visibility & trust with your audience
✅ Consistent engagement with potential customers
✅ A stronger brand presence over time

But here’s what organic won’t do:
❌ Bring in instant leads or overnight sales
❌ Replace your entire marketing strategy
❌ Work without consistency & strategy

Why we require a 3-month minimum for new clients:
Building a strong social media presence takes time. We use the first few months to establish your brand, test your audience, and fine-tune your strategy to see what works best. After that, you can continue month-to-month or sign a 12-month contract to lock in your rate for the next year and receive a discounted monthly rate.

Want a strategy that actually works and you're ready to invest in the future of your business? Let’s talk! Send us a message to get started.
