রক্ত দিয়েছে যারা, দেশ চালাবে তারা।

সাবেক এবং বুড়ো কাউকেই ক্ষমতায় আমরা আর চাইনা। তরুণরাই আমাদের বর্তমান এবং ভবিষ্যৎ। পাশের দেশ ভারতে ২৫ বছর বয়সের বেশ কয়েকজন এবার এমপি হয়েছেন। দেশ চালাতে বুড়ো এবং পূর্ব রাজনীতির অভিজ্ঞতা থাকতে হবে এই ধারণা নিয়ে নতুন বাংলাদেশ গড়া সম্ভব নয়। আমাদের দেশের এই তরুণরা যা করে দেখিয়েছেন, যে বিচক্ষণতার পরিচয় দিয়েছেন, যে সাহস এবং অসাধারণ দেশপ্রেম দেখিয়েছেন, সেটা দিয়ে এতটুকু বলতে পারি যে তারা দেশ বিক্রি করবেনা কোনভাবেই এবং তাদের হাতেই নিরাপদ প্রিয় বাংলাদেশ। তাদের এখনো অনেক কিছু দেয়ার বাকি বাংলাদেশের মানুষকে।

আমি বিশ্বাস করি, আমার মতো অনেক বাংলাদেশী চান নাহিদ ইসলাম, Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain, আর Sarjis Alam এর মতো তরুণরাই আগামী নির্বাচনে আসবেন এবং বাংলাদেশকে পুনরায় গড়বেন নতুন করে। অনেক স্বপ্ন এই তরুণদের নিয়ে। অন্যরকম এক বাংলাদেশের স্বপ্নে বিভোর হয়ে আছি।

ড: Muhammad Yunus এবং Dr. Asif Nazrul মতো যোগ্য মানুষের হাত দিয়ে আসুক সুষ্ঠু এক নির্বাচিত সরকার।

টিচিং অ্যাসিস্ট্যান্টদের বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের প্রয়োজন অনুযায়ী প্রতি সপ্তাহে সর্বোচ্চ 20 ঘন্টার জন্য নিযুক্ত করা হয়। স্টুডেন্টদের অবশ্যই মিনিমাম 9 ক্রেডিট-ঘন্টায় ইনরোল করতে হবে এবং প্রতিটি সেমিস্টারে অবশ্যই ভাল একাডেমিক স্ট্যান্ডিং এ থাকতে হবে। একজন গ্র্যাজুয়েট TA নির্ধারিত ফ্যাকাল্টি মেম্বারের নির্দেশে এক বা একাধিক কোর্সের শিক্ষাদানে সহায়তা করবে। তাদের নিয়োগ বা পুনঃনিয়োগ প্রতি সেমিস্টার বেসিসে হয়ে থাকে।
গ্র্যাজুয়েট রিসার্চ অ্যাসিস্ট্যান্টদের তাদের ফ্যাকাল্টির রিসার্চের কাজে সহায়তা করার জন্য প্রতি সপ্তাহে সর্বোচ্চ 20 ঘন্টা কাজের জন্য নিযুক্ত করা হয়। এক্ষেত্রেও RA নিয়োগ বা পুনঃনিয়োগ প্রতি সেমিস্টার বেসিসে হয়ে থাকে।

2. GXA Cares Scholarship/Fellowship
এপ্লিকেন্টদের মিনিমাম 3.2 cumulative GPA থাকতে হবে এবং স্কলারশিপটি প্রদান করার সময় ফুল টাইম এনরোলড হতে হবে। সমানভাবে যোগ্য আবেদনকারীদের মধ্যে, এমন স্টুডেন্টদের অগ্রাধিকার দেওয়া হবে যারা গত ১২ মাসের মধ্যে অন্তত ১৬ ঘন্টা কমিউনিটি সার্ভিস সম্পন্ন করেছে।

3. Federal Work-Study Program
এই প্রোগ্রামের আন্ডারে, ডিপার্টমেন্ট আয়ের 25% কভার করবে এবং বাকি 75% ফেডারেল গভর্নমেন্ট কভার করে। এক্ষেত্রে ফান্ডিং এর সময়কাল প্রতি অর্থবছরের 1 সেপ্টেম্বর থেকে 15 মে পর্যন্ত। ডিপার্মেন্ট থেকে ইন্টারভিউ নেওয়া এবং ফাইনাল রিক্রুটমেন্ট সম্পন্ন হবে। রেগুলার সেমিস্টারে (fall and spring) প্রতি সপ্তাহে সর্বোচ্চ ২০ ঘন্টার জন্য নিয়োগ দেওয়া হবে। তবে হলিডে এবং সামার ব্রেকে স্টুডেন্টের রেজিস্টার করা কোর্সলোডের উপর ভিত্তি করে সর্বোচ্চ ৪০ ঘন্টা পর্যন্ত কাজ করার সুযোগ রয়েছে।
যারা work study প্রোগ্রামের জন্য কোয়ালিফাই হবে না তাদের জন্য UT Dallas Career Center অন্যান্য অন-ক্যাম্পাস জবের লিস্ট প্রোভাইড করে থাকে।
এছাড়াও School of Economic, Political and Policy Sciences থেকে বেশ কিছু স্কলারশিপ এবং ফেলোশিপ অফার করা হয়।
