Watch me attempt to explain the inner workings of a designer’s mind 😅 But really- good design is invisible and here’s why: Good design has been refined to use only what is necessary to communicate your brand’s message & identity. This isn’t about minimalism either. Maximalism can be good design too. It means that a good designer will no where to draw the line (what to include and what to leave out) in order to achieve the clearest, most effective presentation of a particular style. Good design is less about the time you spend adding and more about the time you spend culling. It’s the time spent running trial & error on your creative ideas. Trying out curved buttons vs sharp corners, placing text in a dozen different places to see which layout speaks the loudest. Implementing 3 different gallery styles before landing on the right one.. and so on. Because of this, the average viewer (or client) won’t see the hours of draft-editing that went into presenting a seamless final draft. For clients, the privilege of working with a good designer is in the not having to address poor design, and instead, getting to dive into the how-can-this-be-even-better phase right at draft 1! I’m proud to say that my clients never need more than 1 round of revisions and I blame this on fundamentally good design 🖤 That’s my two cents of the day ✌🏼#gooddesign #webdesigner #designersmind #tulsaoklahoma
A truth I see many entrepreneurs struggle with, including myself. When you’re building your brand, it’s essentially you putting your dreams into action. And if you’re like most creators, you have a to-do list a million miles long with ideas coming to you at breakfast, on walks, in the shower, in the middle of the night, and even on the weekend! A blessing and a curse 😅 With an ever-growing to-do list, it’s important to not fall victim to analysis paralysis (🫣 guilty). Remind yourself that it’s the action you take that has real-world impact. Don’t let your intentions fool you. What can you do today to push the needle forward today? For me, it was sharing this message 🖤#businessgrowth #motivationalquotes #takeactionnow #entrepreneurtips #tulsasmallbusiness
