A TORNADO WATCH has been issued for our area until 3:00 PM CDT.
Consider this the first “leg” of the watches for today. We have one in effect now, mostly to account for the outside chance a few bigger storms develop before the main event. - If you read my post from earlier, I wasn’t expecting much until AFTER 3 PM. The Storm Prediction Center thinks a few isolated storms through 3 PM could be rough, though. This watch is very conditional and is in effect “just in case” storms get going before our official timeframe.
I fully expect another tornado watch to be issued later this afternoon, which will be in effect for our “main event” this evening. Stay tuned. Lots of moving parts.
