Congested, dry, and flaky skin can make you feel like you’re stuck in a cycle of constant discomfort. One of my clients came in recently with these exact concerns—his skin was extremely dry and had a lot of congestion built up. It’s important to know that while over-the-counter products can help with surface issues, they often can’t give your skin the deep exfoliation and hydration it truly needs. This is where seeing an esthetician makes a difference.

For my client, I used microdermabrasion combined with an enzyme treatment, which worked together to gently exfoliate his skin, removing dead skin cells and unclogging those pores. Microdermabrasion is an incredible way to resurface the skin without being invasive, leaving it smoother, more radiant, and allowing your skincare to absorb better. Enzyme treatments help dissolve dead skin and clear away the congestion that can lead to dullness and breakouts.
