I am a local photographer in the Capital Region who specializes in landscape, nature and animal photographer. I strive to capture the understated beauty in the places I travel and subjects I stumble upon. You'll likely find me pulled over on the side of the road photographing anything from old trains, railroads, abandoned industrial and residential buildings, fall foliage, old barns and the countr

Every career path is unique, just like every photo tells its own story. Over the years, I’ve embraced a variety of roles—running an HR department as a full-time student, mastering digital marketing strategies as a product expert, and even becoming a licensed insurance agent to manage benefits systems. Each experience has shaped my perspective and creativity behind the lens.

Hi, I'm Nicole Smith Russell, a passionate photographer and digital storyteller based in the Capital Region of Upstate New York. Specializing in outdoors, landscape, nature, industrial, architectural, event, commercial, and editorial photography, I turn everyday scenes into extraordinary visual narratives.
