50 Years ago my father started the German American Radio program with Rudy Stumpf on WTTM - 920, on Sunday mornings in Trenton. They went their separate ways after a few years, but my father was for many years on WTTM, and also on WJDM in Elizabeth which gave him a reach from Delaware up to New York and Long Island. It helped reach a broad audience of German-Americans and bring a piece of German culture home with traditional and current music.
After WTTM switched formats, we moved to WNWR in Philadelphia, and then to the current home on WWDB AM 860
I continued hosting the show with my mother's help in 2010 when my father passed away and am happy to celebrate the 50th anniversary today.
