When I look back at this year... I realize My life completely changed.

If I began to tell you what I went through this year, I could probably write a book... although you'd know if you'd been following along..

this year has shown me I can't be broken..
that I'm stronger then I look..
that people take my love, dedication, and ability to be fiercely independent and squander it away like it, and I, am nothing...

This year has shown me that the blood running through my veins has never been and will never be thicker then water that's runs through my tap..

That sometimes loving someone and doing everything to be their person isn't enough...

That you can do everything right and still be looked at like the one who gave up..

The one who wouldn't forgive again..the one that refuses to forget repeated actions..

Life has changed beyond my wildest imagination.. like changing from summer to winter over night..

2022 was the year I took back myself..
took back my right and wrong..
took back my ability to be unapologetically me..

I took back my life. My control. My love and my ability to BE loved..

I'm leaving 2022 better then I started. Better for me and my daughter and for this newest little bundle of love.

2022 gave me what I needed to start my next chapter, happier and more loved then the last.

Vanishing twin syndrome is real, and the toll it takes on your body and mind...

I dreamt of your little toes
Your fingers as they grew..
You had a heart beat, I counted them on the screen 118 they said... your tiny heart fighting to keep going

Some might say you were just a clump of cells... not able to survive on your own.
But I've loved you since the pink line

Today marks 4 years..

4 years since I heard your voice
4 years since I hugged you
4 years since I heard your laugh or saw your smile.

4 long years.

I saved a voice-mail, but it's just not enough
I saved some of your clothes, but they no longer smell like you. They don't feel the same or smell the same, when I hug them... I miss you more then any words could express...

Time moves differently when someone you love isn't on this earth anymore..
I want to call you for everything, you'd be so proud. The woman I have become and the accomplishments I have made. I wish you didnt have to miss, The amazingness that is your granddaughter. Her laugh is contagious. Her hair curly and blonde. Blue eyes like where the oceans meet the sky. Too smart for her own good. And beyond her years by many. You'd love it. Your sassy little side kick that always loves you.

4 long years and I still miss you like it was yesterday.

I didn't know till now, as I'm writing this at 4AM. What exactly to be thankful for, on this exact day... he was taken too soon. Given a body that would run run run... till one day...Just like that he was frail, fragile and laying in a hospital bed. Now Looking at the man who so proudly held me high, and loved with every ounce of his being. I knew we had short time left...

I'm thankful for the life that has been given to me. I'm thankful for the man who taught me to be everything and more. Thank you for being my daddy, for as many years as your earthly body would allow. I know you fought. I know you tried. I know it was meant to be. I love you ❤️ I miss you like crazy.
