One of our favorite Albums of all time is the debut of Sinead O'Connor, The Lion and the Cobra. This album tore up our hearts in a good way in 1987. Due to the limitations of the vinyl format, it only had 9 songs, of which came classics Troy, Mandinka, and Just Like You Said it Would Be. Deeper cuts like Jerusalem, the haunting lead off dirge Jackie and chill out dystopian Drink Before the War were also highlights. And now KJON dares to reimagine this classic album and its song order in order to experience it a new and fresh way! We also decided to expand the album of a few extra tracks recorded around the same era that fits the feel of the original to make it a more complete offering. Call it sacriledge but we dare you to listen to our Spotify playlist from start to finish (and no, definately not on shuffle mode). The goal is to reimagine the album be altering and adding songs, but keep the same spirit and flow of the original. Check it out here:
