I cheated with my chicken fodder box. Lol! I found a spot where I spilled some rye and dig it up then put it in the box. They love it! 🤣

Today is the seven year anniversary of my daughter’s passing. I’ve been looking for a way to honor her and this year I decided it’s by planting a tree in her honor every year on the day of her passing. She loved the outdoors. She loved animals. I know she would have loved my homestead. So, this is a small gesture to dedicate trees in her name! 🙏🏽

This tree is a Methley Plum!

I had some bird visitors today! 😳👀

Just got one of my mounts back today. I love all of the character this one has. Really good mass, and some good kickers.

When you leave home to run some errands and you come back with some grape vines, blueberry bushes, a tree (not pictured) and a deer head! 🤷🏽‍♂️ That’s a successful trip! Lol!

Decided to mulch my backyard garden today. It really needed it. Took a huge chunk out of my mulch pile! Haha I still have a little less than half to go, but I’ll wait until I’m clearing the other beds to finish. I also put up a trellis at the end of the garden in preparation for spring planting. And moved two raised beds from another garden to this one. I’m tired! LOL!

Hello fellow homesteaders and gardeners. This year I’m organizing a seed swap. So, this is how it will work!

1. Join my group named “Your Homesteading Journey” Your Homesteading Journey

2. Create a post listing all of the seeds that you have available for trade and the approximate amount.

3. As you agree to trade seeds, please update your post with the amount of seeds remaining.

4. You don’t have to have seeds to trade to participate. It is between the seed giver and seed receiver if seeds are swapped or just given. Personally I say don’t worry so much about receiving if you have plenty to give.

5. No seeds can be sold!

To keep things organized let’s set the seed swap time as the entire month of January. On the 1st of Jan, start posting your lists and engaging with potential swappers!

Well, that’s about. Let’s have fun with it. Please comment below with any additional ideas you recommend.

Chamomile Experts! Last year I planted mine WAY too late. When are y’all starting yours? I think some people last year said they start theirs in December.
