Pangolins play vital ecological roles. As they burrow underground for shelter or to excavate ant and termite nests for food, these unique, scaly mammals mix and aerate the soil—much like when we plow fields. This improves the nutrient quality of the soil and aids the decomposition cycle, providing a healthy substrate for lush vegetation to grow. 🌿Plus, a single pangolin eats enough ants and termites to safeguard around 40 acres of land from destruction. 🐜-Cameroon provides a crucial habitat for three species of pangolins, making the country key in their conservation. Although Cameroon’s government banned the hunting, capture, killing, and trade of all pangolin species in 2017, the consumption of pangolin meat remains widespread in urban areas of Cameroon. To help combat this, we work closely with the government and businesses to help Cameroonians understand the ecological and cultural value of pangolins. We supported the launch of Wild Cameroon, a new debate show discussing the country’s spectacular natural heritage and how to protect it. The program aired in Cameroon today, with the first episode focusing on reducing the demand for pangolin meat!#wildlife_vision #wildlifepage #wildlifegarden #wildanimalsafari #wildanimalsanctuary #pangolins #pangolinconservation #ecologist #viralvídeo #reelsoffacebook
Climate change is one of the biggest threats to life on Earth.Government and corporations need to do their part to reduce emissions—we need to demand this. In the meantime, our choices CAN make a difference. Over time, 40-70% of all carbon emissions can be eliminated through lifestyle changes.Real change for our planet is attainable. Here are some ideas to get you started:🌱 Cut back on animal products. Reducing your meat, pork, and chicken consumption by 50% cuts carbon emissions by 1,200 pounds per year.🌱 Shop secondhand. The average American buys 62 pieces of new clothing a year—each one adding to our carbon count.🌱 Eat leftovers. According to the U.S. EPA, the total food wasted in the U.S. every year is roughly equal to the annual carbon emissions of 42 coal fired power plants.🌱 Conserve water. Keep showers to under 5 minutes and cut your emissions by 491 pounds per year.Visit TheEnvironmentExcuse.org for more ideas.Let us know in the comments what actions you take to reduce your emissions!#wildlife #wildlife_shots #wildlifeofinstagram #wildlifephotos #wildlife_vision #wildanimalsafari #wildanimallifes #extinction #2050 #animalspecies #viralvideos❣️

A bird strike – an unfortunate collision between a bird and an aircraft – is more common than many travelers realize. With over 40,000 bird strikes reported to the FAA each year in the US alone, every frequent flyer is likely to experience one during their travels. If you’re short on time, here’s a quick answer to your question: While a single, small bird hitting one engine may not greatly affect a plane, a flock of large birds striking multiple engines can potentially cause engine failure and other serious issues.Need more details? Read the details here ✨Hornbills are known for their lifelong monogamous bonds. The video above illustrates the nesting ritual of Hornbills. During the nesting phase, the female enters the nest and conceals herself inside, laying eggs and remaining there until the chicks hatch.Throughout this period, the male regularly returns with food to nourish the female. If, by any chance, the male perishes or fails to return, the female and chicks might perish while waiting for his return. If you encounter a hornbill nest in the future, it’s crucial to maintain a safe distance. Avoid disturbing them; instead, observe them from afar and respectfully leave the area undisturbed.🫶🏻#hornbill #hornbills #hornbillsofinstagram #birdsofinstagram #birdsofinsta #birdsofinstagram🐦 #birdsinflight
