It will give you confidence in what you are eating too.

Unfortunately, many of us know the above statements in marriage because we have either issued them as threats or received them.

It may feel effective but if this is the way you try to resolve issues, understand that it's a matter of time before your spouse begins to get used to it and then plan for it.

A lot of times, the person you are issuing threats to about another wife is already in an affair, planning to leave you.

The person you are threatening about getting thrown out of the house, is already furnishing another house somewhere soon to be ready.

The list goes on.

Someday, you'd issue the threat and have it thrown back in your face because at that point, it would no longer be potent.

If there are issues you want resolved, address them but if your default mode is to issue threats, you are helping to teach your spouse how to cope without you, and that is not a threat.
