KTAL News Channel 6 interviewed Treva West, a member of TRAHC’s African American Committee (TAAC), Dr. James Morris, a board member with both TRAHC and TAAC, and Kay Thomas, National Teaching Artist and Interim Visual Arts Coordinator. They spoke about the Portraits, Reflections, Dreams and Hopes exhibit now on display through March 16th in the galleries and 2nd floor of the Regional Arts Center. This annual project is created in honor of Black History Month and done in collaboration with TAAC. Admission to the public is free.

On May 23, 2023, tragedy struck in Nash Texas with the loss of Reuben Olalde, his wife, and two of his children were murdered. Diana Olalde, Reuben's older daughter survived and needs our help.

We recently spoke with Dylan Hann with the Arkansas Game & Fish Commission representing southwest Arkansas. Over the last months, the AGFC has been conducting experiments on Alligator Garfish from the Red/Sulpher River junction. It was reported that among the fish was possibly a new record size!
