In 2025, the standard monthly premium for Medicare Part B is $185, which is an increase of $10.30 from 2024: [1, 2]

Part B premium

The standard monthly premium is $185, but some beneficiaries may pay more depending on their income: [1, 2, 3] • Income-related adjustment: The monthly premium can range from $259–$628.90 depending on income. This adjustment applies to beneficiaries whose modified adjusted gross income (MAGI) exceeds $106,000 for individuals and $212,000 for married couples. [1, 3]

Part B annual deductible

The annual deductible for 2025 is $257, which is an increase of $17 from 2024. [1, 2]

Part D prescription drug coverage

Premiums vary by plan. [1]

Medicare Advantage

The average monthly plan premium is estimated to be $17. Nearly all beneficiaries have access to a Medicare Advantage plan with no additional monthly premium. [4]

Medicare enrollees who receive Social Security benefits will have the new Part B premium automatically deducted from their checks in January. Those who don't receive Social Security benefits will need to make sure they pay the increased premium starting in January. [5]
