❄️ Happy December, friends! ❄️
Next Generation Ballet’s Nutcracker is returning to the December 20-23 with some very special guests… Jarod Curley and Chloe Misseldine of the American Ballet Theatre.
Here’s what makes the appearance by these guest star dancers even more special— it’s sort of a coming home for Jarod who is an alumni of Next Generation Ballet. In fact, seeing the Nutcracker for the first time as a child inspired his career as a professional ballet dancer.
We got a chance to speak with him about his journey and the importance of connecting with kids and sharing the stage with young dancers as he they inspire the next generation of performers.
But that's not all! We’re also sharing peeks at our favorite holiday events, pro tips on goal setting for kids in the new year, and MORE!
Awesome New Rides, Attractions, and MORE at Walt Disney World, BIG NEWS The New Monsters Inc. Coaster will replace MuppetVision 3D and Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith will get a new house band, the Muppets!
It's an exciting time at Walt Disney World with so many new rides, new experiences, and more opening for your family to experience!

Today, the Great American Teach-In took place around Tampa Bay. It’s part of American Education Week and introduces students to career options, hobbies, and activities that they may consider for the future.
It’s a great way to get kids to think about incorporating their favorite subjects into future careers, like the fifth graders at Westchase Elementary who learned all about the science behind building roller coasters from Lara Chartier, Busch Gardens Director of Design & Engineering after they recently completed a roller coaster STEM project in class at the beginning of the school year.
If you’ve got a career or hobby to share, we highly encourage you to reach out to your local schools during next year‘s event. It’s a great way to connect kids with ideas for the future!

Let's GLOW!! ✨ Come along with us for a first look at Aqua Lanterns at Clearwater Marine Aquarium! CMA reopened Friday night after a three-week closure due to damages caused by Hurricane Helene. This gorgeous display of lights truly represents finding light after dark. Despite the damages caused by the storm surge, the team at CMA persevered, determined to open this event for families like yours.
The last few weeks have been incredibly hard for our community, but we are resilient, and we will rebuild stronger together. We will find the light. ✨
Miss out on Friday night's debut?? You can still experience this after-hours event this weekend on Saturday and Sunday from 6:30 pm-9:30 pm and then on Wednesday-Sunday evenings through December 30.
CMA will reopen for normal business hours on Monday, October 21.

Our Story
At Tampa Bay Parenting Magazine, it is our mission to promote happy and safe families. We want all families in the Tampa Bay area to get out and discover all of the amazing things our community has to offer and DO all of those amazing things together.
We don’t have to tell you. The days are long, the years are short. We only have a limited about of time with our kids, so why not try to enjoy every moment we can with them.
We have served Tampa Bay area families for more than 10 years. It is our duty to share family-friendly activities, but we are also here to connect you with resources in our community. Maybe you are searching for a new school or summer camp for your child. Or, maybe you are looking to read expert advice from our amazing team of local medical professionals, educators, professional writers, and curators of family fun! This is what we are here for.
We could call ourselves the premier resource for parents in Tampa Bay, but here’s the deal...we are in the business of collaboration. We are not the parenting experts. We don’t believe in so-called ‘parenting experts’ because every family and every child is different and it’s impossible for one single person to be an expert in all things ‘parenting’. We ARE, however, really great at connecting you to experts in their areas of expertise.
As we continue to grow, we are always open to your ideas. This is, after all, a magazine created for you by parents like you. Never hesitate to reach out to our creative + editorial director, Laura Byrne at [email protected].
Thank you for joining us on this crazy fun adventure in parenting in Tampa Bay!
