Although I was a Dolphin mom today during the Great American Teach-In, I still wore my National League of Cities South Regional Manger hat to share all the hardwork NLC staff does daily to support cities, towns, & villages accross the country!

Well it's safe to say many of these kiddos were interested in serving their communities & stepping into leadership roles to make their communities a safe, kind, enjoyable place to call home.

As I reflect how my life shifted over the years, I'm grateful for strength to walk away from anything that wasn't for me but I'm most thankful for the gift of resilience to keep going & never give up.

This laptop lifestyle thing started off as just a way to make extra money. As a single mother there's nothing more important than being present for your children and I knew I didn't want a part-time job that would take me away from my home in the evening.

A bit scary to jump in head first and trust a group of strangers online, but I did! Now did I get scammed a time or two, OF COURSE I did but I got smart & tapped into my own skillset, building my dream life from the ground up. (Even creating my own coaching program & online course)

I started out wanting to help the world, & quickly learned people will take all your FREE consultations but never want to pay for the years of expertise & education you've paid for. It was only then I shifted to a choose ME attitude!

The best decision ever and if I had to do it all again, I'd choose ME everytime!

Today I share to inspire and give thanks to the Good Lord above, because no matter where you are on your journey, this season is only temporary and you have to work daily to CREATE & LIVE the life of your dreams, unapologetically!

Here's to RESILIENCE & FAITH knowing You got this! 😎

The Historic Greenwood District in Tulsa is one of the nation’s most prominent destinations for Black history and culture.

Famously nicknamed "Black Wall Street," the district’s unprecedented prosperity in a time when the nation failed to recognize Black people as equals served as a bastion of hope for Black people in America. The horrific Tulsa Race Massacre of 1921 that saw a majority of the district’s blocks razed to the ground and the district’s eventual rise from the ashes against all odds expanded on the area’s complex story of triumph and tragedy.

P.S. Regina Goodwin Member of the Oklahoma House of Representatives painted this mural located in the Black Wallstreet souvenir shop.

P.S.S. The shop owner also gives fresh fruit to customers with every purchase.

Perfect place for a evening reception is on a farm! 😁🚜🥬

The American River Ranch, a 55-acre historic ranch and the permanent home of Soil Born Farms, was everything I expected it to be.

It provides a wonderfully diverse landscape to engage both youth and adults in hands-on activities that educate and connect them with the natural world, healthy food, healthy eating, job and life skills, hard work, and service opportunities. The American River Ranch also provides the opportunity to expand the production of vegetables and fruit to meet the needs of more Sacramento residents, particularly those in underserved neighborhoods with little or no access to fresh, nutritious food.

Although, I was attending a reception I spent most of my time touring the property and learning gardening tips to go back home and implement in my garden.
