When a child tells you the story about thier very first experience at the Zoo, you don't express doubt when they tell you the Lion was as big as a mountain, or when the Monkies chased them all the way back to the car - no, you completely engage with them.
For a moment, you experience life again for the first time.
When the early christians & Apostles told their story about a wise carpenter, it is clear that the story they told was a genuine expression of how it felt to interact with this incredible human, not a boring account of exactly what happened. They infused the story with what they thought would help create the relationship they felt.
It wasn't until institutions & governments got a hold of this story that it became a religion with an inifinite amount of deadends.
