This is not my typical post, but I'd appreciate it if you could consider helping this family. I met Marzieh, Jamal and their 1-year-old daughter, Mahdis, while flying home after my father passed away from cancer.

For the past three months I have been working with the family to help get them services--especially help from a lawyer to navigate the complex US immigration system. It will cost $8,000+ to complete their asylum cases for all three of them, money they do not have. This is why I am helping them by hosting a fundraiser.
Please consider making a contribution, or add a comment if you know of any Seattle-area not-for-profits that can assist with housing or other essentials.
Thanks for your consideration!

When I first heard about this climb last year, I knew I had to attempt it. The photos of the fire lookout at Three Fingers looked impossibly placed atop a tall peak. While I ran short of the summit on my first attempt in 2021, a few weeks ago I was able finally finish the visit.

A Different Tribe

I got into filmmaking as a high school student and dabbled in college, but it wasn’t until my mid-30s that I got serious about storytelling. Later after being laid off from my job as a marketer, I packed up my desk, walked out of the lobby and thought “Now’s the time”.

The name Wild Ones comes from my passion for exploring trails, mountains and other wild places, and for the wonderful and wild people I encounter along the way.
