I'm very fortunate to have married a man that comes with his own Lenox China. My MIL has a lovely cabinet filled with beautiful stemware. So much fun bringing it all together. Who knew I would later develope an obsession with tablescapes.

To say I’m over the moon is an understatement-I won these last night in an online auction: 12 gold with cobalt Czech 11” service plates sold at Christie’s in New York in 1979. I’m ecstatic!!!

My Evesham bought in England 40 years ago on my honeymoon. Place settings for 22. Used to have such gatherings but time moves on. Can't part with it yet but makes a lovely fall place setting. Funny how you can have sentimental memories connected with China and such. I remember my husband and I at the factory store spending hours picking out our pieces. Wonderful memories.

I’ve been loving all of your pink and green Christmas tables and when I saw these Bordallo Pinheiro Christmas tree bowls I couldn’t resist!
My favorite thing may just be the tablecloth which I repurposed from drapes I made for my youngest daughter’s room when she was a baby! ❤️

Patience is a virtue and having that virtue finally paid off! I have wished for a Blue Danube china set for quite a while and often commented longingly when others scored an amazing set from a thrift store or family inheritance. Last week, from FB Marketplace, I purchased a perfect 5 piece setting for 8, along with a platter, sugar and creamer set! !! When I arrived to pick it up, I was offered a gorgeous cake stand and square platter!! My heart is overjoyed!!

This is my holiday table set for me! I fell in love with the Lenox Holiday when I saw it in my mom's magazine when I was 15 years old and received my first cup and saucer for my 16th birthday - I'm 67 now! The Lenox "Williamsburg" cachepot (fancy term for planter) was a birthday gift for myself several years ago and I used some Christmas money from my dad to get the floral arrangment, just picked it up today. The table runner is actually an antique or vintage dresser scarf that I thought would look nice here. The candlesticks are Baldwin Brass and while the candlesticks don't match each other, I still like them! The iced goblet is Tiffin Byzantine optic etched crystal. And I think but I'm not sure the silverware (silverplate, Oneida Patrician, 1978) is in the right spot but I shall not stress over it too much! Didn't have a diagram handy. Also missing the burgundy napkin to the left of the forks.

Ok finally found a Goodwill score. There were these two dirty glass plates that caught my eye. I walked past them and found nothing else so I went back looked at them and said to myself why not they are only $2.09. So I brought both of them. Came home and found out that they are Fostoria American Cake plates. Now the shopper in me wants to build a collection of this glassware. I am out of control!!!LOL.

This is my first Christmas Tree since I broke my Tibia and Fibula on our first RV trip back in 2019. We had big plans, to see Zion Np, Arches NP, Bryce Canyon, The Grand Staircase, and Capital reef. I fell the very first night, not even hour after we arrived at our campsite near Zion. Instead of exploring the parks I took a 45 minute ambulance ride to the hospital in St. George. When they put me in the ambulance the driver offered to turn down the music and I told him to crank it up so we could play ambulance karaoke. LOL Then I asked him if we could sing, " Don't Fear the Reaper". 😅🤣😅 I laughed, cried and sang for the entire 45 minute drive to town. Must have been the drugs singing. I had surgery the next afternoon, a 3 day stay, then a very long and miserable 3 day drive back to California. Whenever someone asks how i broke it I tell them pole dancing is harder than it looks.. lol Sure beats fell while walking. 🤣 Well I'm happy to say that we have made up for lost time. Over the last 4 years we have been to 48 states and all but 4 national parks. I collected ornaments along the way, adding them to the ornaments I picked up in Europe and Asia. I have permanent nerve damage in the leg I broke, so it's difficult climbing on step stools and ladders which is why haven't had a tree since 2019. I decided it was time for a smaller tree so I hit the Goodwill and came home with a 6 foot scraggly tree. My husband laughed when he saw it and called it a Charlie Brown tree... My response, All it needs is a little love. My Charlie Brown tree now holds ornaments with special memories from our adventures. It's not a bad tree Charlie Brown. All it needed was a little love. From our house to yours Merry Christmas.

♥️ Mikasa, Holiday Traditions ♥️
A couple of weeks ago someone shared their holiday table with this China and the prettiest reindeer napkin rings. I never knew Mikasa had this print but immediately went looking for the best deal. Kohl’s had it for $72 with their Black Friday sale but I literally missed it by 2 minutes. I still got it for a great price. It arrived today. It shipped from California to Ohio and the packing was phenomenal. Everything is intact ♥️ I can’t wait to set the table with this gorgeous set.

My son called and asked what’s for dinner? I’m making fried checked with my Mexican version of macaroni. He and his girlfriend wanted to come eat with us so I decided to put together a little Valentine theme table. It’s a hodge lodge of dollar store plates, pottery barn glassware, daily flatware and my fancy Murano glass bowl as a center piece. The hearts are from H‑E‑B.
