I have been saying this for quite some time. There are studies to back it up. Do not under estimate the power or protein. Most Americans consume less than half the protein their bodies need. In a world where carbs are king, it is important to prioritize protein. Not just for optimal health and weight but longevity.

I have no desire to be perfect.
I mean what is perfection anyway? Is that even atainable? Do you even want to be perfect? Goal getters never achieve perfection, they are always in a constant state of evaluation and growth. It is within this mindset that transformation occurs. One can change something about themselves and still never achieve a transformation. Change is temporary, transformation is lasting.
Transformation is hard AF. It takes time, dedication, patience and commitment. It is not a quick fix, it is not an overnight solution. In order to transform you have to take an honest look at the things holding you back or keeping you from your goal. It is only after we identify and are honest with ourselves (brutally honest) that the real work begins.
You have to make changes such as removing toxic people and habits from your life. You need to surround yourself with people who share your same goals. Time and time again I hear stories of discouragement and disappointment. Women try and fail, they are looking to blame someone or something for the failure, when in reality it themselves that are to blame. A woman will make a declaration of a goal and often we are not supported by friends, family and loved ones. My heart breaks for them as I have been there. Years ago I was unhappy with many things and it manifested itself in a hot mess of ways. I am not sure the moment I realized that things needed to change, but I knew something did.
Making the decision to change is the easy part, sticking with it is the hard part. And it is hard every single day. Remember you are never alone, there are others out there fighting and making changes. The more good and positivity you bring to your mindset and life the more things will move in the right direction. Toxic mindset brings a toxic life. Positivity and strength from within travels to all corners and spreads to those around us.
So, here is the question. Are you going to be the light to lead others? Or are you going to stay in the darkness?

We have been pushing hard the last few weeks and I have to say that having a workout partner is where it is at! It can be a friend, relative - you name it but find someone to commit and push with you. You won’t regret it. Y’all we have so much fun together. We push each other, challenge and you could say we are a little competative. Accountability is huge, it is the make it or break it factor for a lot of people. And while both TJ and I were dedictated to working out before we met, doing it together makes it so much more enjoyable. It is just one of the things that connects us and we share. We plan vacations around it, we do it every morning, we have some of our best conversations during and after.
Having a common interest with your partner can make or break a relationship. Too many times we move in polar circles. Life, kids, jobs - they all get in the way. Moving our bodies is one of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves. It improves the body, mind and spirit. Everything in life becomes more enjoyable when you have a partner to do it with you. So, even if it isn’t your significant other, find a friend. Use it as a way to bond, grow and push each other. I promise you won’t regret it.

One of the things we do well is communicate. It isn’t always easy and being honest with your partner can be a challenge but we are both stubborn and don’t like to let things go. It may take a minute to flush it all out but we always end up working through it.
We both learned valuable lessons in our precious marriages and the process of going through a divorce. You learn a lot about yourself and what you want anytime you go through something like that. And if you are smart you carry those lessons with you into your next relationship. Growth and change is painful but worth it 😉

Omg y’all bring me back the beach and that tan! Why do we always look so much better with a tan? Spring is so close I can taste it and then warm weather and the beach!
February is the absolute worst month here in and it is so easy to go into hibernation mode. But NO don’t do it. Now is the perfect time to change your mindset and set a goal so that when beach season hits you are ready! Remember summer bodies are made in the winter and then maintained all year round ☀️

We are always in competition with each other. It absolutely drives the other crazy if one can out lift the other or out perform them in an exercise. We both know we have certain things that the other will always be stronger, faster or better at - but man, those things are we neck and neck in, yeah it all competition 😂
A little competition is healthy, it keeps you pushing and striving to be better. It challenges you to be stronger, go faster - to do more. Now can competition become toxic or unhealthy? Cf course, however healthy competition is good for the soul. It is about pushing each other to be better and go beyond what each other believes they can do. And let me tell you we have a lot of laughs.
